An Encounter Of His Mercy

Hello music lovers, I am glad to be in this community.
This is my first post here. I hope I am welcome.

A friend on Hive has told me about this community but #Dreemport has succeeded in bringing me here with this contest #Dreem- WOTW S3 R3.

I am so delighted to join this challenge on WOTW S3 R3 because this time I will be talking about Music that got me inspired.

Music is life to me. Good music is beyond listening alone; it goes deeper and has a deeper meaning to the listeners.
Sometimes the heart of receiving and understanding of a song differs with everybody. The song I will listen to and get inspired, may not have any meaning to another person who listens to the same song.

Before any further ado, I would like to introduce you to the song that got me inspired:

YOU LOOK BEYOND ME BY YADAH
This song was released in the year 2019. This song got me inspired the day we sang this song during choir ministration in the church on a Sunday service. I got a new insight concerning this song that day and I can't explain how it happened but I started to shed tears during this
ministration. When we were done with the song, I discovered that I was in tears during the ministration.

Sometimes I see people crying in church during worship, I don't condemn them though but I've never felt what they were feeling that makes them shed tears uncontrollably.

How did I get inspired?

When the song started I began to have some flashbacks about my life.
How I should have died but His mercy kept me. I don't deserve to live though but His unending mercies upon me have kept me going.

I remembered a terrible day when I should have died but God saw my future and He still kept me alive.

During my high school days, a friend of mine had a boyfriend. Her name was Blessing and her boyfriend's name was Tayo.
One day, we were in school and my friend told me that after dismissal, she would love me to escort her to her boyfriend's house and I agreed, feeling that the place was not far. I never knew my friend had matured to the level of dating a guy in a polytechnic (LASPOTECH).
During that period, where we lived was a 2-hour journey to Laspotech. After school, we left for her boyfriend's house around 2 pm and we got there by 4 pm.
Immediately we got there, he entertained us but I noticed something about him. He wasn't calm; he kept pacing around the room. He would peep through the window and check the door too often. He told us to come with him and we did so, not knowing he was among the cult members in his school. We were on our way when we met his opponents on the way and he tried to protect us. I didn't know where Tayo got a gun from and he told us to start running.
If I had died in the process, my parent couldn't know I left school for LASPOTECH with a friend .
No one will know that I was killed by cult guys.

I couldn't control the tears as it began to flow through my face.

If not for God's mercy, that day could have been the end for me. I also remembered many atrocities that I've caused, yet God is still keeping me.

I looked deep into my life and I began to see His hand of mercy upon my life. For this, I would forever be grateful.
