"People Are Strange" is a single by the American band The Doors, from their second album Strange Days. The song peaked at number 12 on the Hot US 100 Chart. According to Allmusic's analysis, the song "shows the group's fascination with the theatrical music of European cabarets."1 The song speaks of alienation, of being unknown, and, according to the aforementioned analysis, the song could Being written to hippie culture, the marginalized and drug users, especially LSD. The song was written by Robbie Krieger along with a depressed Jim Morrison while hiking through Laurel Canyon.
