Vibes Web3 Music Competition week 32// You Raised Me Up by Color Music Choir//Covered by Joyben

Joyben is my username. And I want to say that I'm here again to feed your souls with an amazing song. In the previous contest, I did a lovely cover of a song which was titled No More Veil.

This week, I will be covering the song You Raised Me Up by Color Music Choir. I so much love this choice because their song has added value to my life.

It has made my life more meaningful than it used to be, and I'm grateful.

This song reminds me of the past. There was a day someone told me I couldn't make it in life because I wasn't in college. These words kept hurting me for about nine months.

But before I knew it, God raised me to where I am today. The Bible says that he takes a bagger and makes him a king. And that is how God is dealing with me.

I appreciate the writer of this song because it has shaped my life and given me hope of having a brighter future. He indeed raised me.
I don't know what you're going through in life, but I just want you to believe that one day, he will raise you.

I want to especially appreciate all the organizers of this weekly contest. I know it's not easy, but you kept on organizing it. I pray that the almighty God bless you in Jesus' name, amen.

I hope you will be blessed as you enjoy this song.

Thank you, Lord Butterfly, for creating this amazing platform for us to display our talents. Thank you, and God bless you.

Lyrics

Verse 1

When I'm down and oh my soul, so weary,
When troubles come and my heart burdened me,
Then, I am still wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit a while with me.

Chorus

You raised me up so I can stand on mountains,
You raised me up to walk on stormy seas,
I'm strong when I'm on your shoulders,
You raised me up to more than I can be

Verse 2

There's no life, no life without it's hunger,
each restless heart beat so imperfectly,
but when you come I'm filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raised me so I can stand on mountains,
you raised me to walk on stormy seas,
I'm strong when I'm on your shoulders,
you raised me to be more than I can be.

Thanks for participating,
Keep practicing your singing
Please careful with intonation, I think singing much lower in a lower key will benefit you,
when you sing higher, you hit a lot of off notes and it creates dissonance and you are forcing your vocals and straining them
It also limits your breath control

maybe have someone accompany you with piano too or use an instrumental backing track
Hope that helps
