El 2023 tiene que ser un año asombroso, si algo aprendí de mi papá es a que son dos cosas muy diferentes, aquello que deseamos que suceda y eso que hacemos que suceda. Capaz no llegamos a febrero, pero lo importante a mi entender es vivir con buena vibra y sacando el máximo provecho a la oportunidad que implica tener un día más.
En cuanto a las Playlists, a quienes consumen estos post en su mayoría usuarios de Reddit o seguidores de Instagram, agradecerles en general porque esto es una clase de contenidos que me divierte hacerlo, me llena y me mantiene viva esa esperanza de que aunque sea una vez logre que esa persona que no salía de su zona de confort musical, escuchase algo distinto.
Sin más preámbulo, vamos a lo que vinimos, canciones que debes agregar a tu Playlist este mes y a las que te recomiendo darles una prueba para como siempre, ampliar tus gustos musicales, aunque sea un poco.
2023 is supposed to be an amazing year, if there is something I learned from my dad is that two very different things are what we want to happen and what we make happen. Maybe we won't reach February, but the important thing in my opinion is to live with a good vibe and getting advantage of the opportunity that comes with having one more day.
Concerning the Playlists, to those who consume these posts mostly Reddit users or Instagram followers, thank you in general because this is a kind of content that I find fun to do, it fills me up and keeps me alive that hope that even just once I get a person who has never left his or her musical comfort zone to listen something different.

Si te gusta este rock suave, parecido al de The Beatles y que caracterizo al rock británico por mucho tiempo, tienes que darle una oportunidad a Fools Garden, una banda Alemana de principio de los 90' y que seguramente ya escuchaste un poco, pero no tengas idea de su existencia.
Con Lemon Tree, algunos consideran que Fools Garden tuvo su One Hit Wonder, yo no me atrevería a realizar esta afirmación teniendo en cuenta que soy de los que puede escuchar una y otra canción de la banda sin incomodarse. Lemon Tree podría considerarse su canción más escuchada, esta banda tiene grandes canciones como Probably o Why de shy go.
Muchos comparan esta banda con The Beatles por el ritmo suave y tranquilo que le imprimen al rock alternativo, si estás buscando algo diferente y no tenías a estos alemanes en tu playlist es momento de actualizarla.

Esto es personal, desde un fanático de La Vida Boheme, de las mejores bandas Venezolanas que existe, la banda que hizo el primer Toque/Concierto al que asiste, el primer CD que compre, que hice me firmaran y aún conservo como un gran tesoro; Una banda cuyas letras pueden ser interpretadas de muchas maneras, fueron mi canción de guerra durante mis años más duros en Venezuela y la poesía política que me hizo entender que Venezuela me mató.
La razón por la que comparto este video, es porque desde mi óptica es una producción audiovisual que roza casi en ser un cortometraje, que muestra una historia que no es historia, que fue, es y será la realidad de muchos; Muestra Venezuela y sus paisajes, sus personas sonrientes y esos detalles de los que nadie quiere hablar, cosas como mostrar desde el Aire el barrio donde me crie, el campo de Beisbol donde jugué y donde comenzó la carrera profesional de mi hijo, playas que recorrí y muchos detalles más, que hacen de este uno de los mejores videos musicales que se han producido en la nación latina.
Cuando hablo de La Vida Boheme, hablo de una banda muy poética y abstracta, con mensajes hermosos para quien quiera escucharlos y con ritmos que al menos a mí me remueven cualquier fibra; Aquí no te estoy recomendando una banda de Rock Indie, te estoy recomendando aquello que hizo vibrar la juventud que me mataron en Venezuela.
This is personal, this is from the point of view of a fanatic of La Vida Boheme, one of the best Venezuelan bands that exists, the band that made the first Concert I attended, the first CD I bought, that I had signed and still keep as a great treasure; A band whose lyrics can be interpreted in many ways, they were my war song during my hardest years in Venezuela and the political poetry that made me understand that Venezuela killed me.
The reason why I share this video, is because from my point of view it is an audiovisual production that almost borders on being a short film, that shows a story that is not history, that was, is and will be the reality of many; It shows Venezuela and its landscapes, its smiling people and those details that nobody wants to talk about, things like showing from the air the neighborhood where I grew up, the baseball field where I played and where my son's professional career began, beaches that I visited and many more details that make this one of the best music videos that have been produced in the Latin nation.
When I talk about La Vida Boheme, I am talking about a very poetic and abstract band, with beautiful messages for whoever wants to listen to them and with rhythms that at least to me, move every fiber; I am not recommending you an Indie Rock band, I am recommending you that which made vibrate the youth that was killed in Venezuela.

En este momento vas a buscar Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra en tu buscador favorito, Youtube, Spotify o preguntarle a Siri, cuál sea el caso estás abriendo la puerta a una banda que grita ritmo a viva voz, una banda que se encargara de impregnarte de ese intenso ritmo del Ska.
Los conocí por allá por 2010 en un festival y luego de eso me encanta ver como estos Japoneses hicieron de todo, colaboraciones, discos, anime, soundtrack de películas y mucho más, quizás no sean la banda de Ska más famosa que conozcas, pero sin duda tienen ese toque diferente que hace que hoy quiera recomendártelos.
No podía imaginarme a un asiático bailando Ska y con TSPO logré verlo y disfrutarlo, un ritmo que puede nacer al otro lado del océano, pero que me llena de la alegría que necesito para iniciar este año, una banda que uso para trabajar, ejercitarme y hasta para limpiar la casa, porque el Ska se hizo para sentirlo.

I met them back in 2010 at a festival and after that I love to see how these Japanese did everything, collaborations, albums, anime, movie soundtracks and much more, maybe they are not the most famous Ska band you know, but they certainly have that different touch that makes me want to recommend them to you today.
I could not imagine an Asian dancing Ska and with TSPO I managed to see it and enjoy it, a rhythm that can be born on the other side of the ocean, but that fills me with the joy I need to start this year, a band that I use to work, exercise and even to clean the house, because Ska was made to feel it.

Decir que son Españoles es entrar en debates geopolíticos y nosotros no estamos acá para eso, por lo que vamos a que Iseo & Dodosound son una agrupación de Navarra, que combina el reggae con el dub y el Hip-Hop creando un ritmo agradable y lo que para mí podría definirse como una experiencia auditiva.
Cuando hablamos de Reggae, son pocas las damas que se aventuran al género y aquellas que logran incursionar suelen tener voces muy graves características del reggae protesta o prefieren ritmos más POP. La voz de Iseo es una de esas voces diferentes, y aporta al reggae una tonada diferente, sumándole también en ocasiones mezcla de lenguajes que incluye el catalán, euskera, inglés, español e italiano.
En cuanto a Dodosound, este mezclador es de esos osados que cree en el arte y logro combinar una voz suave y calmada con un ritmo que te penetra de forma sutil y termina calando en tu cuerpo, permitiéndote así disfrutar esta agrupación en cualquier ocasión. ¿Qué estás esperando para buscar más de ellos?
Mentioning that they are Spanish is getting into geopolitical debates and we are not here for that, so let's say that Iseo & Dodosound are a group from Navarra, which combines reggae with dub and Hip-Hop creating a nice rhythm and what for me could be defined as a sound experience.
When we talk about Reggae, historically there are few ladies who venture into this genre and those who manage to make inroads tend to have very low voices characteristic of protest reggae or prefer much more POP rhythms. Iseo's voice is one of those different voices, and brings to reggae a different tune, adding also sometimes a mix of languages including Catalan, Basque, English, Spanish and Italian.
As for Dodosound, this mixer is one of those audacious ones who believes in the art and managed to combine a soft and calm voice with a rhythm that penetrates you in a subtle way and ends up permeating your body, allowing you to enjoy this group in any occasion. What are you waiting for to look for more of them?
Cerrando mis sugerencias para enero 2023, parece increíble que llevo más de un año con estas recomendaciones, y quiero aprovechar a quienes me preguntan cosas como ¿Por qué no más canciones al mes? ¿Por qué no hacerlo semanal?, que la respuesta es sencilla, la idea nunca fue, será o ha sido recomendar cinco canciones es marcar cinco caminos que les permitan llegar a múltiples destinos musicales, en cuanto a la frecuencia, la idea tampoco es saturar y spamear contenido musical, de hacerlo semanal serían 52 post al año por lo que en algún momento terminaría repitiendo bandas, estilos y géneros, la idea es mantenerme como hasta ahora sin repetir y trayendo calidad.
Dicho esto, hoy pasamos por un viaje global, en géneros que pueden gustar más o menos, pero te garantizo, te servirán para iniciar este año con la mejor de las energías, inspirando tus nuevos proyectos, cargándote de buena vibra y buena música, que si nos ataca otra pandemia la recibimos bailando y con buen ánimo.
