Vibes web 3 music competition week 33; performing the song "Omema"

In Week 33 of the VIBES Web3 Music Competition, I brought the vibrant energy and soulful passion of “Omemma” to life, aiming to capture both the raw exuberance of praise and the intimate heartbeat of worship. From the very first chords, I poured every ounce of emotion into my delivery, letting the rhythm pulse through me as a declaration of gratitude and celebration. The song’s infectious melody provided the perfect canvas for me to weave in subtle vocal riffs and dynamic flourishes, creating moments of quiet reflection before soaring into powerful exultation.

I chose a setting that felt both personal and communal, with soft, warm lighting and minimal distractions so that my voice and the message at the heart of the song could stand center stage. As the camera moved gently through the space, I felt the invisible thread of connection stretching between me and each viewer, reminding me that even in a digital arena, worship can unite us across every distance. With each rise and fall of the vocal line, I sought to honor the song’s spirit of “Omemma” – a celebration of God’s goodness that resonates in every heartbeat and breath.

Musically, I balanced the driving percussion and vibrant keys with moments of space and pause, allowing my voice to carry the weight of the lyrics before the full band swept back in. Those pauses became invitations for the listener’s own heart to respond, for their own voice to rise in gratitude alongside mine. The interplay between energetic grooves and hushed interludes mirrored my own journey of finding joy in both the crowd’s roar and the stillness of personal worship.

Throughout the video, I shared glimpses of the community that fuels my own passion – whether through footage of friends singing along, clips of joyful dance, or the quiet smiles exchanged in moments of song. These simple images were woven into the performance to remind us that praise is never a solo act; it’s a tapestry of voices woven together by shared hope and faith. In that spirit, my rendition of “Omemma” became more than a cover; it was an invitation to every viewer to join in a universal movement of thankfulness.

As the final notes faded and the last chord lingered in the air, I felt a profound sense of fulfillment. This entry wasn’t just about showcasing vocal range or musical arrangement; it was about creating a space where hearts could lift together, even through screens and servers. By blending contemporary energy with timeless worship, I hoped to leave a lasting impression on the VIBES community – a reminder that in every beat, every note, and every chorus of “Omemma,” we find a shared heartbeat of praise that can never be silenced.

I have noticed that you and a few others who participate in the competition who are still developing their musical skills, tend to over-explain and dress up their performances with beautiful words of describing it themselves of how you see it, and how you wish it to be received, however,

although your writing is poetic and thoughtful, and sometimes clearly exaggerated

the musical presentation and performance itself leaves much to be desired...

Please keep practicing your singing, I would suggest you to add an instrumental to your video, and perform with more passion, extending and holding those notes out, and committing yourself to the music more intently, the beginning of your performance was weaker and you clearly held back, but from around the 39 second mark in the video, you started to open up more, but you are still holding back, I know you can do more and you actually have a decent voice at current skill level, I enjoyed the display of your vibrato, you have a nice tone. I was still awaiting that great display of a powerful exultation.. and for you to get louder. I hope to see it next time.

Psalms 33:3 KJV

"Sing unto Him a new song, play skillfully and with a loud noise."

In short, as we praise Him, we are to show skillfulness and be bold with our sound, but still careful and controlled.

Please make your performances at least 2 or more minutes longer.

I pray you consider my advice, as it is to help you.
