Glory be to almighty God who has been guiding and protecting everyone of us. It is my Pleasure to be part of this great initiative and this collaboration of Afri-tune and Inleo. The greatest joy of it all is the theme “Life without Music”. I also what to share my thought on the topic. Let me start from explaining what music means to me.

Music is a sound pattern tha is produced by people, it is the melodious sound that comes from peoples voice or the use of an object to make sound. Music is different based on the genres and differences in our cultures. Some ofmthe popular genres of music are:- Hip hop, blues, country music, soul music, Dance music, reggae, opera, folk..

Music in africa is based on different cultures of african people. one of the things that differentiate african music from music from other regions is the beat and arrangement of musical instruments. Some african music are based on african drums and african instrument. Unlike western music pattern like reggae, blues and country music… The common form of African Music are: Makwaya which is common with South African, others are Juju, fuji, jaiva, Apala etc.

Now lets go back to our theme: “Life without Music”. I dont know how the world will be without music. Even though we do not know the origin of music, nut it i clear that people have been involve in music from generations to generations… We find some evidence in the Holy bible where some Ancient prophets like David played HARP, psalm 150 even mentioned different categories of musical instruments.

This present generation with the help of modern innovations has helped improved thr quality of music. The help of modern music instrument and gadget has brought about tremendous growth to Music. Music has now created a lot of opportunities for people to earn a living. Music has become an industry, an institution, to some people it has become their life.

My music Career

Music has been my passion since When i was growing up as a child, simce the time when we sing poem, rhymes and folk tales. I was introduced to musical instrument when i was in Senior secondary school, even though it didn’t make much sense to us then, because I didnt know that it can become something useful for me in time like this.

Music has become an opportunity for me in many ways, even though i didnt hae any formal education on music, my passion for it has kept me moving and i know that if we continue without ceaselessly, we will have better testimonies in future.
