Hive Open Mic Week 266 || Poem Cover (My Mother)

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Hello everyone I am @joshuabbey how are you doing over there? This is another week for hive open mic which I believe that it will be a wonderful week, because there will be a lot of artists who will be posting into the community. The theme for this week say “My gift to mom”.

Mothers are important personality in the life of everyone, Their roles in our lives are beyond commendation. The only thing we can do is to do our possible best to take good care of them wen they need us, not only to give them befitting burial after their demise.

For this week, i want to also join other members of this communities in this week topic. My entry for this week is a popular poem “My Mother”. This poem is narating some of the roles of mothers to us, telling us that mothers are great.

Below is the lyrics to my poem…

Who sat and watch'd my infant head,
When sleeping on my cradle bed,
And tears of sweet affection shed?
My Mother.

When pain and sickness made me cry,
Who gaz'd upon my heavy eye,
And wept, for fear that I should die?
My Mother.

Who drest my doll in clothes so gay,
And taught me pretty how to play,
And minded all I had to say?
My Mother.

Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My Mother.
