Three Tune Tuesday – Tres queridas canciones de Sara McLachlan

Desde que la escuché en aquellos años de final del siglo XX, me cautivó por varios motivos. Fue un DC titulado "Mirrorball”, de 1999. En primer lugar, su extraordinaria voz con esa cadencia tan seductora. Luego, esa combinación entre cierto aire celta, el jazz y el pop. Y, por supuesto, las letras de sus canciones, tan sentidas, hasta la emoción cercanas a la hermosa tristeza.

No creo necesario ningún comentario a esas extraordinarias canciones, que reproduzco en sus versiones subtituladas en español.

I “discovered” Sarah McLachlan toward the end of the 20th century, when she was already a well-known and famous singer. She has been one of the “revelations” I have celebrated most ever since. Regrettably, due to various circumstances—both financial and time-related—I haven't been able to follow her career as closely as I would have liked. Yet, whenever I get the chance, I return to her music to listen and enjoy it once again.

From the moment I first heard her back in those final years of the 20th century, she captivated me for several reasons. It was an album titled Mirrorball, released in 1999. First and foremost was her extraordinary voice, with its incredibly seductive cadence. Then there was that blend of a certain Celtic flair with elements of jazz and pop. And, of course, the lyrics to her songs—so deeply heartfelt, stirring emotions that border on a beautiful sadness.

I feel no commentary is needed regarding these extraordinary songs, which I have included here in their versions featuring Spanish subtitles.
