Siempre que pensamos en un merengue nos imaginamos un piano y unas congas, y si tenemos que pensar en un instrumento de viento nos imaginamos una trompeta, por lo general al hablar del merengue muy poco pensamos en un trombón, sin embargo si ponemos algo de cuidado en los detalles y tratamos de afinar un poco más el oído, nos daremos cuenta de que el trombón esta incluido un una múltiple variedad de canciones de este estilo....
Whenever we think of merengue, we imagine a piano and congas, and if we have to think of a wind instrument, we imagine a trumpet. Generally, when talking about merengue, we rarely think of a trombone. However, if we pay a little more attention to detail and try to tune our ears a little more, we will realize that the trombone is included in a wide variety of songs of this style....
Y esta pieza musical no esta fuera de este aspecto, quiero decir, aunque no se escuche a primera instancia, el trombón si que esta presente en la canción, antes de ser músico no lo notaba, ni siquiera cuando aprendí a tocar la melodía esta pieza, pero cuando recién estoy estudiando la parte de trombón, y escuchaba la canción a detalle si que me lleve una sorpresa, pues el trombón estaba desde el principio aunque al oído parecían estar solo las trompetas...
And this piece of music is no exception. I mean, even though you can't hear it at first, the trombone is definitely present in the song. Before I became a musician, I didn't notice it, not even when I learned to play the melody of this piece. But when I started studying the trombone part and listened to the song in detail, I was surprised, because the trombone was there from the beginning, even though to the ear it seemed like there were only trumpets...
Puedo decir que no es una pieza nada fácil, requiere mucha exigencia y además resistencia, tiene muchas notas agudas y bien articuladas, y en instrumentos de viendo-metal las notas agudas no todos las podemos hacer correctamente, es decir que no son fáciles, es un aspecto que se práctica mucho y que nos hacer ser muy competitivos entre nosotros, por eso creo que ciertamente en algunos casos solemos ser algo presumidos cuando alcanzamos cierto nivel.... Pero fuera de este pensamiento el tocar alguna nota del registro agudo solo significa horas de estudio y dedicación...
I can say that it is not an easy piece at all. It is very demanding and requires stamina. It has many high, well-articulated notes, and not all of us can play high notes correctly on brass instruments. In other words, they are not easy. It is something that requires a lot of practice and makes us very competitive with each other, which is why I think that in some cases we tend to be a little cocky when we reach a certain level.... But aside from this thought, playing a note in the high register simply means hours of study and dedication...
