How Do You Look At Time?
Let's talk about time.....
Want to know a neat fun fact, we each have 1440 minutes a day.
Not a second more.
No matter how much we try to spread it out, that's 24 hours a day for each of us.
And I've spoken about this before, about how you use that time that you are gifted. But on today's post, I wanted to discuss how we 'look' at that time we have...
You have 2 choices.....
You can SPEND your time!
Think of it like the bank of you! Every day, you get 1440 minutes deposited into your account. The money (time) drains no matter what you do. No matter how much you want to slow it down, it's draining.
So you spend it....
Maybe on a few episodes of Seinfeld.
How about that football game on the weekend?
Don't forget the endless clicking and scrolling on social media.
You choose to SPEND your time doing these activities. And I'm not going to judge you, that's the beauty of choice. You can choose to what with that 1440 deposited minutes any way you want.
The other choice is that you can INVEST your time!
I saw a brilliant post the other day when I was reading some daily devotionals I do. It said if you choose to further your education by 'investing' 30 minutes a day into any skill you choose, you could generate the knowledge needed in a year that most won't acquire in their lifetime.
Think about this....
- You want to become a developer.
You may not have the funds to go to some Ivy league college but you can find a great online training platform and teach yourself how to code, by investing your time daily for a year.
- You want to learn about trading crypto.
Again, you can 'spend' your time scrolling Twitter and Instagram...Or you can 'invest' it in reading industry papers, articles, and doing research into the skills you wish to develop.
It's all about choice.
But remember that rule that we spoke about at the beginning of the post, we don't get a minute more. And the bank is being drained every single second.
If we spend it, we are just a consumer.....However if we invest it, we are building our futures and making every second count.
Time is our most valuable asset, I truly hope we all invest. more time instead of just spending it every day.

I just spoke to my friend about this last week. He was telling me about how he is spending 30 minutes a day learning how to teach golf and that he plans to teach for a part time jab by the middle of next year I hope he makes it.

lol too funny. my wife and I were talking about the same strategy, not golfing but what we both could accomplish in 30 minutes a day if we stuck to it. inspired the post a bit....Shhh dont tell her I get my best ideas from her!
I agree. I stopped ranting and bitching about alot of things over the years. I just focus on investing the time wisely. Making new connections, investing into dividend assets and building content in advanced is how I prefer to spend the time. Wise tips jon!

Time is definitely an important resource and there is only so many things we can do. It's what makes us stand out from the others and I think hive is a great choice to invest some time into.

Investing time yields better dividends than spending it. Time is a very valuable resource that should be used wisely, as we will won't be able to get it back once it is gone.

This is eye opening. Have never thoughts about time this way before. Gotta spend the next 30 mins to get some hive activity done. I thought I was busy with work before but it’s a lie I tell myself because 30mins ain’t that much to spend doing something you care about.
30 minutes a day can change your life! Investing in learning a new skill will mean so much in the future.

I always spend a bit of time at the end of the day learning about new or interesting things. It's something I have been doing for a while now. Some of it is mindless junk, but some of it is very informative too.
Its such a good investing of time. These little nuggets we pick up along the way, should pay some dividends down the road!

Just like that time is passing very fast we all should use this time well and try to learn something new everyday which will be beneficial for us in future.
