Sunshine - Week 175 #TTT

Walking On Sunshine

Waking up to glorious sunshine after a cold wet weekend what a wonderful start to Tuesday 1st October!

Clear air, brisk breeze, happy to be alive. Sunshine on my shoulders as I walked Woody outdoors, the warm seeped in between the blades, a comfort knowing the sun always shines.

Kick off early with Three Tune Tuesday a mix of three each to their own.

Co-written with John Denver this lovely tune popped into my head, some found style of music sorrowful, I found it uplifting as coming from winter into warm season of growth and vitality, although we enjoy more sunshine than most, take the sun away for a couple of days people do become glum!

John Denver - Sunshine On My Shoulders

An age when songs categorically sang about woman or men, feelings, love, companionship, how many are able to simply enjoy simplicity of the sexes today?

When did we complicate life, a boy is a boy and and girl is a girl, minority of friends had preferences outside the norm, no one criticized actually not one cared. Life is to be lived please don't lecture me now I'm too set in old structure to break the mold.

An authentic American musical icon brought lives, loves, dreams and possibility through enduring artistry of every day living a pleasure to listen to once again to Soul and Rhythm.

"I write and sing about whatever I am able to understand and feel. I feel that it is healthier to look out at the world through a window than through a mirror. Otherwise, all you see is yourself and whatever is behind you. BW"

Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine

Change Gears, off LP Disraeli Gears, highlight of song is smooth transition from blues to more psychedelic sound, a mix of hard rock, blues and psychedelia, fun times!

"It is interesting to note how in hindsight this classic song with its unforgettable riff is remembered by its creators. For Jack Bruce & Pete Brown it is their baby, forged in the sometimes fraught companionship of pressure of work. For Eric, whose large contribution of impressive & innovative guitar sound & memorable chorus, it merits little mention in his autobiography 'Eric Clapton The Autobiography' (Century:2007), he merely refers to it as a 'hit single' they had in the US in 1968. Cream - Sunshine Of Your Love

Walking on sunshine comes to mind in closing, by end of October I really hope the painting/repairing around house is comes to an end, make way for the next task! Pre-Loved goodies next to turn attention to, pass on to those who want or need things no longer actually required or not used in last 10 years.

Why now? I ain't leaving a mess at the end of the road if I can help it, perhaps downsize is an idea, unbundle a must, no vultures circling, sunshine pop!

John Denver sadly never made old age, the songs he did still enjoyed by many. Thanks for token and support.

Cool weather has been wonderful, all except getting up early, that is life.

Music comes to mind to fit the mood with blue skies and sun to warm, a break as apparently more cool weather rest of this week, next week back to hot.

Have a beautiful October to you and the family, hope your health stays strong,

Isn't it wonderful how sunshine brings out happiness in us? Like literally. There's obviously the benefit of natural vitamin D absorption and of course, if it's autumn or winter sun, cuddling up with your cat with a good book with the sun shining is just lovely.

I love the cooler weather with sunshine, sky is brilliant blue, cleared the humidity out by January/February I sing a totally different tune....

Even though we live with sunshine most year round, many still deficient in vitamin D.

They say that's why Londoners are so depressed. Most are overworked, overpay for everything and he get no sunshine. We are so lucky here.

December and January are awful for wind. We really get the best weather from now till the end of November and then again in February. It's getting colder earlier now though. My birthday is on the 2nd of March and for the last two or three years, it's been uncharacteristically cold.

I would be happy in cold if the sun shines brightly, sun makes the world of difference to our mental stability.

Majority in the home celebrate birthdays in January and February, too hot to celebrate much at all!

absolutely! I find prepping for Christmas so hard because we're making very winter-themed dishes and standing in a hot kitchen for at least 3 days. I want to do something different this year. But I'm still making trifle!!

Christmas treat was always peppermint crisp tart, hot dinners are not something to do over Christmas ever....

You know, I've heard a lot of people talk about peppermint crisp tart at Christmas. That sounds lovely actually.

It was never a tradition in my family. We always had trifle. And Gran was very heavy-handed with the sherry 😜I think the idea was to knock the kids out with dessert so the adults could enjoy the rest of the evening together! Lol. I love making trifle and experimenting with different liqueurs, sponges, and fillings.

I might just try a peppermint crisp tart this year though. I'll keep my eye out for a good recipe.

I can see that October has started on a very good note with the gloomy weather giving way to the glorious Sunshine, and some sweet musical tunes.

Dramatic change in weather at this time of year actually normal, nice after a couple of days cloud cover to see the sun again.
