I'll Give You A Tune - Three Tune Tuesday #TTT

Notably Bob Dylan a mastermind in writing music lyrics, other talents vocals, guitar, harmonica, and keyboards, is songwriter scribe of our time. Lets deep dive into singer-songwriter tunes to be chatted about now, sampling taste into his masterpieces.

One of the tunes to share to day that brought fame to the Byrds with Mr Tambourine Man. Musicians moved around quite often, Byrds started out with Jim McGuinn (who later changed his name to Roger), David Crosby, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman, Michael Clark.

George Harrison sang a song for his first wife, written by Bob Dylan in 1970 straight after the Beatles break, on his solo All Things Must Pass. "If Not For You If not for you. Babe, I couldn't even find the door. I couldn't even see the floor. I'd be sad and blue, if not for you", Bob wrote and sang many of his works, however remembered through other folks singing the numbers over the years.

A shocker for many is Bob Dylan wrote "All Along the Watchtower" most probably only remembered played by Jimi Hendrix, taking one down the road where an artists tweaked performance, got permission and so the show had begun, so many songs written always check who was behind the tune initially.

Affords time to reflect over the many massive events similar to Woodstock in August 1969 where many performed, how many were singing a Dylan tune?

No matter who did the number on the day, original written words and ideas came from incredible lyricist...., "Knocking on Heavens Door", "Things Have Changed", "Blowin' in the Wind", "Visions of Johanna", "Chimes of Freedom", "It Ain't Me Babe", "Just Like a Woman", gets you thinking and tapping to a major figure in popular culture over his 60 year career.

Remembering small details, fun we had with music, a walk down memory land. My brother is one for sitting at a braai fire and we start linking names to musicians who moved through various bands, or wrote lyrics etc..

Absolutely! I love trying new things! I must get around to doing proper guitar lessons though. I won that immaculate guitar and I feel like I don't deserve it. In the meanwhile, I'll just play with all of @jasperdick 's daughters toys 🤣🤣🤣

I is already. He's doing a wonderful job of getting me out of bad habits and encouraging me to play. If I can be half as good as him when I grow up, I'll be stoked 😊❤️
