Across cultures this band a surprise in our collection (not really, enjoyed their music way back when) I had to listen to it again, now the reason behind the name....
Jimi Hendrix was a frequent guest at the Sunset Strip venues and was knocked over by the playing of the Brothers Vegas. Jimi stated that Lolly Vegas was the best guitarist he had ever heard and suggested that they create a band. Knowing they were Native Americans, Jimi suggested a name that reflected their roots. Thus, came the name 'Redbone', a Cajun term for a mixed-race person. Redbone

Much like many of the older musicians their song "Come and Get Your Love" grew in popularity through the new generation via Marvel Studios film 'Guardians of the Galaxy' thereafter used in theme song for Netflix cartoon series F is for Family TV series Big Shrimpin, so when a song sounds familiar..., wrack those old brains and try to remember where you first heard it!

How are you dear friend @joanstewart good morning
I must say that I had never heard of this band before, but the guitarist must have been very good for Jimi Hendrix to say that he was the best. In particular, I think that the best guitarist of all time has been Jimi
I appreciate you sharing this band with us.
Have a splendid day
Some amazing bands back then one battles to keep up with many.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting, take care!
Great selection. That was something new. I really loved the first tune from the mix, it was very uplifting. :)
Music style and sound was different, a good listen when in the mood, song to add into a list.
I dont know the band but their tunes are quite recognisable. Maybe its Guardians of the Galaxy or I have either danced like mad to em or they have been sampled by countless other bands!
How often we sit watching a series of late and old music is played, you catch the tune then try place the original with so many remastered it's phenomenal.
It happens so much. I always like that retro tone the guitars have from back then. Hard to nail it down these days!
Each guitar had different sound, built for purpose, a year or so ago watched this, recognized some of the names, great to learn a lot more....
