Maintaining good balance in nature is the busy beaver, might stop rise in water bringing life back to river as it once was.
Spring revives us, more sunlight hours to complete work, now I look forward to Autumn with gentle cooler weather from harsh climate we have.

Of course, the beaver is important for the balance in nature. The river (in this case the Main) would be right next door. Maybe 200 meters as the crow flies. Unfortunately, it is also active at the lake.
I hope you get through the winter well with the harsh weather, dear Joan.
Humans try to bend rivers to suit human flow, normally disruptive, end result problems.
