Feel The Beat

No music no life, know music know life #TTT

Santana a product of late 1960s brought American Latin rock into our homes, most popular song being "Evil Ways". Personally to me "Song of the Wind" being an instrumental with no singing, offered ones mind uniquely into inspirational journey.

Laid back in a beanbag allow music to take over, a sure way to submit, relax clearing troubled mind, moments to close your eyes experience travel via music technique.

Song of the Wind - Santana

This leads into the next amazing feature, drumming rendition in our time with Michael Shrieve original drummer for Santana, tender age of twenty was the youngest performer at Woodstock, involved with the first eight albums released with the band.

Woodstock introduced a perfect storm in talent, far surpassed imagination bringing Hispanic, black and white musicians together, one of the most amazing drum solo's performed on the day.

Don't know about you, between guitar, drums and keyboard this still raises goose bumps!

Soul Sacrifice - Santana

Third mention for today on #ttt being introduced to bongo beat, not new here in Africa the magical sound captured many to invest in a set of bongo drums, learn how to find the beat hidden within, if they had not learned already on tin cans.

None other than Armando Perazzo Cuban Latin jazz percussionist and a member of the rock band Santana played congas, bongos and timbales, another twist in the mix of what made this band one of my favourites to this day. Ripping in concert producing great sound in 1987.

Santana - Savor/Armando Peraza/Raul Rekow/Orestes Vilató Live In Berlin 1987

Upbeat about taking each instrument in raptures through melting pot of ecstatic display, performing together bringing a beat to life we relate to.

Thanks for joining me in mystic self-transcendence back in time!

All of these have a really classical touch. The drumsticks have a unique vibe in all these songs. Nice collection 😃

Drums are the heartbeat, ancient instrument found as 6000 years BC, we know the beat of the drum, even the deaf can feel it's vibrations.

I am a big fan of Santana and these have been very nice to listen to today. I was thinking Santana is not the same guy with a guitar?

Mix of instruments complement each other so incredibly well as do the musicians. Carlos Santana played a mean guitar!

Instruments used bring such variety, I too appreciate the old collaborating into more modern. Passion is evident in how people become part of their instrument with a smile on their face.

So I don't know much about music but still listen to the song sometimes. I also listened to this music but did not get any response. But one thing came to know that it makes good sound. Hahaha @joanstewart

When countries mix instruments from different parts of the world it is enlightening what one can learn.

A friend growing up learned sitar, another pan pipes both hoping to make their way into the world of music, I never heard what happened to either, it was all entertaining before we had TV.

It's a fast paced form of music, I haven't heard of this group of singers, maybe it's because I was born in the 90s and this is a 60s band

You had me at Santana!

But I did not know the rest, so thank you for sharing this info about the band's journey and events.

I'll be giving them a good hard listen and my feet will be stomping on the floor to the beat of the drums too! 😃

Think those great sounds of drums in their natural way have disappeared to much from todays music. I love them :-)
