Hello Hive friends!

It's Three Tune Tuesday once again! And this is Week 160!

For this week, I decided to share with you some classic Original Pilipino Music or OPM.

The truth is, I wanted to share this last week. Tuesday wasy a day before the Philippine Indepence Day which we celebrate every 12th of June. Then again I got too busy.

Anyways, without further ado, here are three songs I would like to share.

Panalangin (Prayer)

by APO Hiking Society

This is a classic Filipino love song. Panalangin or Prayer expresses a boy's love to a girl he loves so much and his prayer is to be with the girl for the rest of his life.

Masdan Mo ang Kapaligiran

by Asin

The title can be translated to "Observe what's around you".
The theme of the song promotes environmental awareness on the destructive effects to the mother nature in the name of "progress".

The song tells about the pollution to the air and water and shrinking forest areas. It emphasizes that progress in not bad as long as it does not destroy nature.

Anak

by Freddie Aguilar

This is the Filipino song that has been translated to so many languages world wide.

It tells the story of a child, brought into this world by his/her loving parents. However, as the child grew up, he/she got addicted, leaving the parents wonder what have they done wrong?

I hope you enjoy these three songs.
Until next time!

I'm glad you love the tunes at the same apologize that you don't understand the words. The third song has an English translation and was translated to other languages as well... However, in my opinion, the English translation does not convey the full message of the song. Here's what I found in YouTube...
