Wow, reading your article made me mentally travel back to the year when my mother retired from teaching definitively... Those were very emotional months because of the great number of visits from students and really nice moments... Even today, she continues to receive visits from her former students and last December a former student of Syrian origin who had returned to the country of his ancestors more than 15 years ago and came back to visit his relatives in Venezuela was here at our home... He made time to visit his former teacher "Sara"!... It was a memorable moment!... The bond between teacher-student is perhaps one of the strongest that develops between people, I believe... Good for you, @mipiano teacher!... Nice post, very touching...

Your mom, the teacher, you mentioned her a few times, so I can somehow say I met her through you. ;) Thank you!
I completely understand what you say about that connection. I moved from there thirteen years ago, and since then, whenever I go to visit family there are also those former students who invite me for a coffee or a walk. Not all, of course, but those who were close. The story you say about the student who came after 15 years and visited his teacher - wow, that is marvellous and memorable indeed! 🙌
Thank you for sharing it with us, @jlinaresp !!
