For my thirty second #index4index submission, I wanted to search for a quote by a rapper and more on the legendary side of the industry. It also had to resonate with my own life. Now, I chose this quote from this legend because the dude was poetic as a mutha, but street hood poet way beyond his time. Unfortunately, he left us way too early.

I'm originally from Brooklyn, New York and I listened to rap before the airwaves played Sugar Hill Gang and I also lived on Atlantic Avenue between Eastern Parkway and Rockaway Avenue. So, if I walked to the corner of Rockaway Avenue I was more on the Brownsville side which is closer to Bed Stuy and if I walked to the Eastern Parkway corner it was more on the East New York side. There is actually a cop show by that name with Jimmy Smits. I haven't watched it and I doubt they can generate the essence of what Brooklyn used to be. I believe it's set in today's environment. I'm sure it's ok. Just no time to watch it.

The whole Brownsville and Bed Stuy thing plays a big role in why I was a big fan of Biggie who was raised over at Bed Stuy, so growing up and as rap was going to the next level, there was chatter at how nice the kid could spit. Of course, he became a legend and also left us too soon.

The quote I found was one by Tupac and although at the end when both Biggie and Tupac passed away they died as enemies and they were friend for many years.

They both had different styles and I could listen to both of their music today as if I heard it the first time.

Getting back to todays I4I submission.

The year started off great for me and my wife Tiffany, but it is starting to trend toward the shitty 2021 and 2022 vibes. For the first time in 2023 we are being tested again. Challenges are popping up and it's time for me to get into that mode I've learned to pull out through my experiences. I'm a confident enough person, but it gets old real quick.

Sometimes i also love to listen rap but i think it's for boy's 😅 that's why i prefer to choose metal songs mostly

That's a great quote. And you two are amazing at facing down and handling challenges. Although you've had more than your share. I do watch East New York because I like Jimmy Smits and yes, it is set in the present.

Hi, Jimmy. I know what you mean. I have battled depression since I was a kid. It got really bad with mood swings and they were almost uncontrollable. I decided I better add some extra medicine to my daily life. I don't like to do this if possible for health reasons. I already take antidepressants but they don't work as well sometimes after a long time of taking the medicine. Anyway, I have a set a problems I don't want to go into that are very challenging. I needed to feel a little more stable mentally, and it's helping already. I started Friday along with a POSITIVE Attitude I have always done but recently my mood swings made it negative. I can't stand a dead feeling from adding more meds though but hopefully it will go away - side effects.

Yes you are right Jimmy. I feel better though already from adding the new medicine. It feels a bit strong, but that might go away. I'm grateful I could get something for my anxiety and mood swings. Right, I don't want to give up. You are most welcome, and Thank you @jimmy.adames !BBH !CTP
