Oviedo | El Día que Conocimos el Frío

Last weekend we sang in Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain, but we never stopped in just one city. The next day we arrived in Oviedo in Asturias, where we would have one of the most important concerts of the tour, since Maestro Abreu himself won the Prince of Asturias Award here, and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra directed by Maestro Gustavo Dudamel made history and They leftthe name of the Alto System in northern Spain.

El fin de semana pasado cantamos en Santiago de Compostela en Galicia, España, pero nunca nos detenemos en una solo ciudad. Al día siguiente llegamos a Oviedo en Asturias, dónde tendríamos uno de los conciertos más importantes de la gira, ya que el mismo Maestro Abreu consiguió el Premio Príncipe de Asturias acá, y la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar dirigidos por el Maestro Gustavo Dudamel hicieron historia y dejaron el nombre del Sistema en alto en el norte de España.

The concert was at the Oviedo Philharmonic and yes, we felt very cold, even more than in the previous city, but the novelty is that Oviedo has a fierce but very, very cold breeze. At times I wondered how people can live here. We stayed here for two days, but going for a walk made us think hahaha. At the same time the spirit of tourism was at a thousand percent.

El concierto fue en la Filarmónica de Oviedo y sí, sentimos mucho frío, incluso más que en la ciudad anterior, pero la novedad es que Oviedo tiene una brisa feroz pero muy, muy fría. Por momentos me pregunté cómo la gente puede vivir acá. Nos hospedamos dos días aquí, pero salir a caminar nos hacía pensar jajaja. Al mismo tiempo el alma de turismo estaba a mil por ciento.

As you can see in the photograph above, I left very warm because at night it was colder and in the church where we sang the day before in Santiago the entire choir was very cold while we sang. I told myself it would happen again, but in Oviedo it was a theater and there was heating, so I spent the whole concert sweating through my legwarmers, double pants and double shirt 🤣 but it worked on the way back to the hotel. Despite the low temperatures, I am glad to have had the experience, but I did not imagine then that the next city would be even colder 😵‍💫 so don't miss the next post 😉

Como ven en la fotografía de arriba me fui muy abrigado porque en la noche hacia más frío y en la iglesia donde cantamos el día anterior en Santiago toda la coral tuvo mucho frío mientras cantamos. Me dije a mí mismo que mi volvería a pasar, pero en Oviedo fue un teatro y había calefacción, así que pasé todo el concierto sudando por mis calentadores, doble pantalón y doble camiseta 🤣 pero funcionó en el camino de regreso al hotel. A pesar de las bajas temperaturas me alegra haber vivido la experiencia, pero no imaginaba entonces que la siguiente ciudad sería más fría aún 😵‍💫 así que no se pierdan el próximo post 😉
