Weekend Debut of the World Choir El Sistema, from Venezuela to the World
With the energy with which my colleagues and I sang this Saturday night, I want to start my post! After two long weeks of rehearsals, workshops and preparations and a month of learning, this weekend we presented to the world the World Choir of El Sistema. A meeting between singers from various nations with musical pieces from each continent and transmitted by youtube to every corner of the planet.
The song I share in the video is called Tshotsholoza, and it is popular music from South Africa. In the choir we do not have any representative from that country, but in the orchestra and among our special guests were the representatives who are beginning to multiply the El Sistema project in South Africa. We were accompanied by the percussionists of the World Orchestra and the soloist is my tenor friend Angel.
From the beginning we surprised the audience by entering a group from the stage and another group from the general entrances at the end of the room and the sound was enveloping for the audience. The good vibe was what reigned with this wonderful start of an unforgettable concert for me. ¡Woooow! amigo, esto está mundial, lo reproduje tres veces: una vista previa, una de análisis y la tercera por si acaso se me olvida jajajaja, ¿Orgullo? ¿Cómo no sentir orgullo? si nuestra bandera la están levantando con toda la actitud. Esta canción les quedó al pelo. Es genial cuando comparten escenario artistas del mundo. Greece, Colombia, Nicaragua, Brasil, Tunisia, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, República Dominicana, México, Estados Unidos y Venezuela. Y lo más grandioso aún es que se haya dado en Caracas. Si acá en video se escuchó así de brutal, no me quiero imaginar como sonó en vivo ese río de voces. Los felicito. ^_^
