Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday. A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all participants recommend music to each other. Mariah Carey is always talked about as the queen of Christmas, in addition to her popular album Merry Christmas, but if there is a contemporary male artist who should be called the King of Christmas, that would be Michael Bublé. With his dreamy baritone voice he reminds us of those first Christmases of the disco era immortalized by artists like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and even Elvis Presley himself, and thanks to him I have had a great approach to the English-speaking repertoire of Christmas carols. He and Mariah are the kings of my playlists during November and December, so if you haven't heard him yet, these are three songs that will make you love him for sure:

Siempre se habla de Mariah Carey como la reina de la navidad, además de su popular álbum Merry Christmas, pero si hay un artista contemporáneo masculino a quien deba llamar el Rey de la Navidad, ese sería Michael Bublé. Con su voz de barítono de ensueño nos hace recordar aquellas primeras navidades de la era del disco que inmortalizaron artistas como Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra y hasta el mismo Elvis Presley, y gracias a él he tenido un gran acercamiento al repertorio de habla inglesa de villancicos para esta fecha. Él y Mariah son los reyes de mis playlists durante Noviembre y Diciembre, así que si aún no lo han escuchado, estás son tres canciones que seguro te harán amarlo:

This is the first song of her Christmas album, and it is really a perfect start, full of magic and then her powerful voice enters. The music is very calm, just like the lyrics of the song and it is impossible to be captivated and get into the mood of what will be an excellent Christmas music album. In fact this song and its music video were popularized in 2012, although the album came out a year earlier, but you know that albums like these can become timeless; at least in my life it has been activated every year since then...

Esta es la primera canción de su álbum navideño, y es realmente un comienzo perfecto, lleno de magia y luego entra su poderosa voz. La música es muy tranquila, igual que la letra de la canción y es imposible dejarse cautivar y entrar en el ambiente de lo que será un excelente álbum de música navideña. De hecho esta canción y su video musical fueron popularizados en 2012, aunque el álbum salió un año antes, pero ya saben que discos como estos pueden llegar a ser atemporales; al menos en mi vida se activa cada año desde entonces...

One of the best versions, if not the best that exists of Jingle Bells, and in my opinion it is due to the excellence of the Puppini Sisters, girls with wonderful voices and who achieve the sound of yesteryear with their harmonies. The jazz and vintage components make this piece a gem in the middle of the album, being one of the most joyful and representative songs of Bublé's style. Music that can't stop playing at your parties...

Una de las mejores versiones, por no decir la mejor que existe de Jingle Bells, y en mi opinión se debe a la excelencia de las Puppini Sisters, unas chicas con voces maravillosas y que logran el sonido de antaño con sus armonías. El jazz y los componentes vintage hacen de esta pieza una joya en medio del álbum, siendo una de las canciones más alegres y representativas del estilo de Bublé. Música que no puede dejar de sonar en tus fiestas...

Until a few years ago White Christmas has always been the best-selling Christmas single of all time, although I think Mariah's song can easily break that record in a few years; the fact is that one of the best versions of it can also be found on this album, and the Deluxe edition brought a duet with Shania Twain that gave it a special touch. Two voices that dance with jazz and give joy to Christmas. They really sound great together, I recommend them to you with all the sincerity in the world...

Hasta hace unos años White Christmas siempre ha sido el sencillo navideño más vendido de todos los tiempos, aunque creo que la canción de Mariah puede romper ese récord fácilmente dentro de unos años; el caso es que una de las mejores versiones del mismo la pueden encontrar también en este álbum, y es que la edición Deluxe trajo un dueto con Shania Twain que le dio un toque especial. Dos voces que danzan con el jazz y la dan alegría a la navidad. Realmente suenan muy bien juntos, se las recomiendo con toda la sinceridad del mundo...

It seems to me that the best ending for this post is to see in the same video who I consider the king and queen of Christmas singing the most popular song of this season. I don't know in which year this meeting happened, but I do know that I thank them with all my heart, even if they don't know me 😅 Of course, on Michael Bublé's Christmas album you will find his official cover of All I Want For Christmas Is You.

Me parece que el mejor final para este post es ver en un mismo video a quienes considero el rey y la reina de la navidad cantando la canción más popular de esta temporada. No sé en qué año ocurrió este encuentro, pero si sé que se los agradezco con todo mi corazón, aunque ellos no me conozcan 😅 Por supuesto que en el álbum Christmas de Michael Bublé encontrarán su cover oficial de All I Want For Christmas Is You.
