Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday. A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all participants recommend music to each other. Last week I made a summary of my favorite songs from 1984, just 40 years ago, although I wasn't born yet. The idea was born from listening to an 80's playlist on Spotify, so now it has occurred to me to recommend 3 of my favorite songs from 1994, that is, songs from 30 years ago. I've been doing some research so I don't make a mistake and I have a lot of favorites, but most of them are by great pop divas, you know that the 90's was important for them.

La semana pasada hice un resumen de mis canciones favoritas de 1984, justo hace 40 años, aunque aún no había nacido. La idea nació por escuchar una playlists de los 80's en Spotify, así que ahora se me ha ocurrido recomendar 3 de mis canciones favoritas de 1994, osea, canciones de hace 30 años. He estado investigando un poco para no errar y vaya que tengo muchas favoritas, pero la mayoría son de grandes divas del pop, ya saben que los 90 fue importante para ellas.

I still sing this song at the top of my lungs ever since I heard it. Mariah Carey's voice has always been very pleasing to me, she is one of the best things this earth has given birth to. Without You always surprises me because it shows the power of her voice and makes us see that she doesn't only have that delicate color of her high notes. On the other hand in the course of the song she goes from the lowest of her register to the most impressive chest highs. If I'm not mistaken, this is one of the few songs where she doesn't use the whistled voice, and yet it was a resounding success in her career. She didn't get pigeonholed into one sound, bravo!.

Todavía canto esta canción a todo pulmón desde que la escuché. La voz de Mariah Carey siempre ha sido muy grata para mí, es una de las mejores cosas que esta tierra ha parido. Without You siempre me sorprende porque demuestra la potencia de su voz y nos hace ver que no solo posee ese color delicado de sus agudos. Por otra parte en el transcurso de la canción pasa desde lo más grave de su registro hasta los agudos de pecho más impresionantes. Si no me equivoco, esta es una de las pocas canciones donde no usa la voz silbada, y aún así fue un éxito rotundo en su carrera. No se quedó encasillada en un solo sonido. ¡Bravo!.

There will always be an eternal argument about who was the true queen of the 90's between Mariah and Celine Dion. My money's on Carey, but it's a matter of taste. Celine was always more elegant and is characterized by powerful and timeless ballads. I've heard this song more in Spanish than in English, but I think the most successful version is Celine Dion's, who made it a global hit in 1994. What a powerful voice. There is no doubt that she is a lady who has gone down in the history of mankind with her hits, and this very feminine song provokes to be sung even by us gentlemen, because of the vocal demand it requires.

Siempre habrá una discusión eterna sobre quien fue la verdadera reina de los 90 entre Mariah y Celine Dion. Yo apuesto a Carey, pero es algo de gustos. Celine siempre fue más elegante y se caracteriza por potentes y eternas baladas. Esta canción la he escuchado más en español que en inglés, pero creo que la versión más exitosa es la de Celine Dion, que la hizo un éxito global en 1994. ¡Que voz tan poderosa!. No hay duda que es una dama que ha pasado a la historia de la humanidad con sus éxitos, y esta canción tan femenina provoca ser cantada incluso por nosotros los caballeros, por la exigencia vocal que requiere.

I owe you an exclusive post about Madonna, since her impressive concert in Brazil a couple of weeks ago she has been very present in my daily life and in social networks and I have realized that the great impact of her music and her style continues to captivate young people. Secret was a big hit in 1994, although those years she was not as popular as she was in the 80's. There is something magical about this song, and that is in its sound, different from what she actually does. At the same time it is a sexy song that shows her vocal qualities. I love this chorus, a combination of whispered sound and bocca chiusa that dances with the mysterious lyrics of the song... A Master!.

Les debo un post exclusivo de Madonna, ya que desde su impresionante concierto en Brasil de hace un par de semanas ha estado muy presente en mi día a día y en las redes sociales y me he dado cuenta que el gran impacto de su música y su estilo sigue cautivando a personas jóvenes. Secret fue un gran éxito en 1994, aunque esos años ella no era tan popular como en los 80's. Hay algo mágico en esta canción, y es en su sonido, distinto a lo que realmente hace. A la vez no deja de ser un tema sexy y que muestra sus cualidades vocales. Este coro me encanta, una combinación de sonido susurrado y bocca chiusa que danzan con la misteriosa letra de la canción... ¡Una Maestra!.

I'll let Shakira rest this Tuesday, and I really had a hard time deciding between Madonna and Sheryl Crow for my third recommendation. This country song All I Wanna Do I think was more successful than Madonna's Secret, although the latter is a more famous artist globally. The point is that it ratifies my opinion that 1994 was a great year for divas. Being from the Country genre, Sheryl transcended the borders of her country, of course there was a lot of pop in the songs that were being sold at that time, which was the genre that was in vogue. So I decided to sacrifice Shakira, since I will hardly talk about this artist again in some of my posts, there are few songs that I know, but I recommend Good Is Good and Soak Up The Sun 😘

Dejaré descansar a Shakira este Martes, y es que realmente me costó decidir entre Madonna y Sheryl Crow para mi tercera recomendación. Esta canción country All I Wanna Do creo que tuvo más éxito que Secret de Madonna, aunque esta última es una artista más famosa a nivel global. El punto es que ratifica mi opinión de que 1994 fue un gran año para divas. Siendo del género Country, Sheryl trascendió la fronteras de su país, por s puesto había mucho pop en las canciones que salía vender en ese entonces, que era el género que estaba de moda. Así que decidí sacrificar a Shakira, ya que difícilmente vuelva a hablar de esta artista en algunos de mis post, son pocas las canciones que conozco, pero les recomiendo Good Is Good y Soak Up The Sun 😘
