Just like last week, this post has been inspired by someone else, @edwardstobia didn't talk about 1999 rock, a year that precisely I highlighted two weeks ago right here, but he emphasized that it was the music that our dads didn't like 😅 I'm not going to focus on 1999, but on the following two or three years when these bands still reigned. Today I want to share with you the heaviest music that at least until then I listened to. Rock and metal are an important part of me, even though I'm not a metalhead, through them I drained feelings and lived unforgettable moments with my friends, at that time there was music for any occasion of the day, and the rebelliousness at the beginning of my adolescence was felt...

¡Bienvenidos a Three Tune Tuesday!. Un agradable espació en la comunidad Music que nació de la idea del hermano @ablaze, donde todos los participantes nos recomendamos música entre nosotros. Al igual que la semana pasada, este post ha sido inspirado por otra persona, @edwardstobia no habló del rock de 1999, un año que precisamente yo resalté hace dos semanas aquí mismo, pero hizo énfasis a que era la música que a nuestros papás no les agradaba 😅 No me voy a centrar en 1999, sino en los siguientes dos o tres años cuando todavía reinaban estas bandas. Hoy quiero compartirles la música más pesada que al menos hasta ese entonces escuchaba. El rock, el metal son una parte importante de mí, aunque no sea un metalero, a través de ellos drene sentimientos y viví momentos inolvidables junto a mis amigos, en esa época había música para cualquier ocasión del día, y la rebeldía a inicios de mi adolescencia se hizo sentir...

I don't know if for real rockers Korn is a heavy band, for me, they were the densest music I had ever known in my life, and I think I still consider it that way. They made a lot of emphasis in the bass , in almost all their songs and I feel that there was a perennial musical base almost in order to make noise, more than music 😅 but I loved that, especially in this song Here To Stay which is an example of what I want to tell you, I think I can define Korn with the word “Dense”, it was heavy, and the experience had to live it with headphones, my parents never understood this music, although they did forgive me to other bands, but Korn and Limp Bizkit were not one of them. This music video is from 2002 and I think the first time I heard this song on Mtv I was just like the kid at the beginning of the video 😬

Yo no sé si para los verdaderos rockeros Korn es una banda pesada, para mí, ellos eran la música más densa que había conocido en mi vida, y creo que lo sigo considerando así. Hacían mucho énfasis en el bajo , en casi todas sus canciones y siento que había una base musical perenne casi con el fin de hacer ruido, más que música 😅 pero eso me encantaba, especialmente en esta canción Here To Stay que es un ejemplo de lo que les quiero decir, creo que puedo definir a Korn con la palabra "Denso", era pesado, y la experiencia tenía que vivirla con audífonos, mis papás jamás entendieron esta música, aunque sí me perdonaban a otras bandas, pero Korn y Limp Bizkit no eran una de ellas. Este video musical es del año 2002 y creo que la primera vez que escuché esta canción en Mtv quedé tal cual como el niño al principio del video 😬

I think not everyone considers System Of A Down's music heavy, but don't try to fool me, of course it is 😅 although even my dad came to accept them and I think it's because unlike the previous band, System was allowed to emphasize a melody. It wasn't noise, in fact I think the heaviest thing about them was the drums. I became obsessed with the Toxicity album from 2001, I couldn't stop listening to it, and although their singles on Mtv, Chop Suey!, Toxicity and Aerials were not so annoying separately, my parents couldn't stand me trying to play the whole album at home, it was better not to challenge them and put my headphones on, but when I was alone at home it was the best tool against Jehovah's Witnesses 🤣 (no offense to anyone, they are just anecdotes)...

Creo que no todo el mundo considera pesada la música de System Of A Down, pero no traten de engañarme, claro que sí lo es 😅 aunque hasta mi papá me los llegó a aceptar y creo que se debe a que a diferencia de la banda anterior, System se permitía hacer énfasis en una melodía. No era ruido, de hecho creo que lo más pesado en ellos era la batería. Yo me obsesioné con el álbum Toxicity de 2001, no podía dejar de oírlo, y aunque sus sencillos en Mtv, Chop Suey!, Toxicity y Aerials no resultaban tan molestos por separados, mis papás no podían aguantar que intentara colocar el álbum completo en casa, era mejor no desafiarlos y ponerme mis audífonos, pero cuando estaba solo en casa era la mejor herramienta en contra de los testigos de Jehová 🤣 (sin ofender a nadie, solo son anécdotas)...
