Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday!. A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all participants recommend music to each other. These last four weeks have been very interesting, every Tuesday I have dedicated to remember and recommend you my favorite songs from 40 years ago, 30 years ago, 20 years ago and now I will tell you what I listened to daily in 2014, 10 years ago. I was just moved to Caracas and I had already a year away from my parents' house, so I was not very aware of the fashionable music, but still some songs took hold of me, and they are the following:

¡Bienvenidos a Three Tune Tuesday!. Un agradable espació en la comunidad Music que nació de la idea del hermano @ablaze, donde todos los participantes nos recomendamos música entre nosotros. Estas últimas cuatro semanas han sido muy interesantes, cada Martes me he dedicado a recordar y recomendarle mis canciones favoritas de hace 40 años, 30 años, 20 años y ahora les comentaré lo que escuchaba a diario en el 2014, hace 10 años. Estaba recién mudado a Caracas y ya tenía un año alejado de la casa de mis padres, así que no estaba muy pendiente de la música de moda, pero igual algunas canciones se apoderaron de mí, y son las siguientes:

I confess that I became obsessed with this song. This pop sound with a lot of saxophone and an impressive voice caught my attention even before I saw the girl, I was still listening to the radio back then. I don't think I had been so blown away by a voice since Christina Aguilera, although I also went a little crazy when I discovered Jessie J and Ariana Grande, but more powerful was Trainor. I thought the music video was amazing and fun, it was love at first sight and I've always regretted not listening to the whole album, I downloaded it, but I was so busy those days I only knew the promo singles, I thought Meghan would always be there waiting for me, but no... She went out of fashion very fast. She recently had a hit again, but I find it a copy of this same song sound-wise, so I enjoy All About That Bass as one of my great treasures.

Les confieso que me obsesioné con esta canción. Este sonido pop con mucho saxofón y una voz impresionante llamó mi atención incluso antes de ver a la chica, todavía en esos tiempos escuchaba radio. Creo que no me había sorprendido tanto una voz desde Christina Aguilera, aunque también enloquecí un poco cuando descubrí a Jessie J y Ariana Grande, pero más poderosa era Trainor. El video musical me pareció asombroso y divertido, fue amor a primera vista y siempre he lamentado no haber escuchado el disco completo, lo descargué, pero estaba tan ocupado esos días que solo conocí los sencillos promocionales, pensé que Meghan siempre estaría ahí esperándome, pero no... Ella pasó de moda muy rápido. Hace poco volvió a tener un éxito, pero me parece una copia de esta misma canción respecto a sonido, así que disfruto de All About That Bass como uno de mis grandes tesoros.

I was a big fan of the first Lady Gaga, she gave me the impression of being a female Marilyn Manson 😅 with her outfits and everything she projected in her music videos, but in 2014 I understood that Katy Perry, although less outrageous seemed to be more promising than Lady Gaga. I became obsessed with the Teenage Dream album years before, so when Dark Horse from her Prism album came out I kept finding in her that visual pop that I love so much and that becomes pop culture from the very day it's released. Like my previous recommendation, I only knew the lead singles, never listened to the whole album, but in those busy days, few songs were necessary to be happy and this is one of them.

Fui muy fan de la primera Lady Gaga, me daba la impresión de ser una Marilyn Manson mujer 😅 con sus atuendos y todo lo que proyectaba en sus videos musicales, pero en 2014 entendí que Katy Perry, aunque menos escandalosa parecía ser más prometedora que Lady Gaga. Me obsesioné con el álbum Teenage Dream años antes, así que cuando salió Dark Horse de su álbum Prism seguí encontrando en ella ese pop visual que tanto amo y que se convierte en cultura pop desde el mismo día en que se estrena. Al igual que mi recomendación anterior, solo conocí los sencillos principales, nunca escuché el álbum entero, pero en esos días tan ocupados, pocas canciones eran necesarias para ser feliz y esta es una de ellas.

I want to highlight this song, not so much because it was important for me, since it seems to me a normal song, but to highlight the three artists who perform it, and thus collect more people in my Tuesday recommendation 🤭 As I said before, Jessie J seemed extraordinary to me since the first song I met, but just like Meghan Trainor, her success didn't go to major, you don't have long and successful careers that satisfy the needs of pop culture followers like me. On the other hand Ariana Grande picked up more steam that year and went on to be one of the biggest artists of the decade, I still don't think that little girl sings like that 😱 Nicki Minaj is not my musical style, but she does represent that quirkiness that I love in pop, even though she doesn't generally do pop. At the time I was a bit obsessed with her and her Pink Friday album and eventually I still listen to her.

Quiero destacar esta canción, no tanto porque haya sido importante para mí, ya que me parece una canción normal, pero sí para destacar a las tres artistas que la interpretan, y así colear a más gente en mi recomendación de los Martes 🤭 Como dije antes, Jessie J me pareció extraordinaria desde la primera canción que conocí, pero al igual que Meghan Trainor, su éxito no pasó a mayores, no tienes carreras largas y exitosas que satisfagan las necesidades de los seguidores de la cultura pop como yo. Por otra parte Ariana Grande tomó más fuerza ese año y pasó a ser una de las artistas más grandes de la década, aún no creo que esa pequeña niña cante así 😱 Nicki Minaj no es mi estilo musical, pero sí representa esa extravagancia que amo en el pop, aunque generalmente no haga pop. En ese tiempo estuve un poco obsesionado con ella y su álbum Pink Friday y eventualmente la escucho aún.

As you can see, that year my tastes were extremely commercial. I only got the music that was the most played on the radio and the most played on music video channels, since I had no time for anything, I had changed computers for music and I had a lot to learn and study to achieve the artistic life I have today. We cannot leave aside that Shakira released an album that year, and although it has not been the most successful of her career, the music video of Can't Remember to Forget You with Rihanna, another of the greats at that time, became very popular and today is another classic of the Colombian, so enjoy it...

Como podrán ver, ese año mis gustos fueron extremadamente comerciales. Solo llegaba a mí la música que más sonaba en la radio y la que más corría en canales de videos musicales, ya que no tenía tiempo de nada, había cambiado la informática por la música y tenía mucho que aprender y estudiar para lograr la vida artística que tengo hoy. No podemos dejar de lado que Shakira sacó un álbum ese año, y aunque no ha sido el más exitoso de su carrera, el video musical de Can't Remember to Forget You junto a Rihanna, otra de las grandes en ese tiempo, llegó a ser muy popular y hoy es otro clásico más de la colombiana, así que disfrútenlo...
