Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela
It's been many months since this concert took place, which I promised here on Hive I would share soon 😅 We did it in May of last year and it was very special for several reasons... We were celebrating the 50th anniversary of the System of Orchestras and Choirs, which, by the way, turned 51 yesterday, February 12th... We sang and played in the Aula Magna of the Central University of Venezuela, an important hall in Caracas where we have performed only a few times, and we were conducted by the young Paolo Bortolameolli, a Chilean-Italian musician who is a rising star in orchestral conducting, just like our own Gustavo Dudamel.
Before I knew it, they shared the entire concert, and it was Verdi's breathtaking and majestic Requiem. But it wasn't on the company's channel or our choir's channel, so today I want to share a new YouTube channel with you: the one belonging to our colleagues in the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra ❤️ Grammy winners just like us, with a long and distinguished career, and they even played with Coldplay last year. They are truly great, and their YouTube channel is fantastic, especially if you have a soft spot for the style of music we play here. The channel is relatively new, but at the rate the orchestra is performing concerts, I'm sure you'll have plenty to enjoy very soon... I hope you like it as much as I do 🙏
Han pasado muchos meses desde que se llevó a cabo este concierto, el cual prometí aquí en Hive que compartiría pronto 😅 Lo hicimos en Mayo del año pasado y fue muy especial por diferentes razones... Estábamos en el marco de los 50 años del Sistema de Orquestas y Coros, que por cierto, ayer 12 de Febrero nuestra institución ya cumplió 51 años... Cantamos y tocamos en el Aula Magna de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, una sala importante en Caracas y donde hemos hecho música pocas veces, y fuimos dirigidos por el joven Paolo Bortolameolli, un músico chileno italiano que es la nueva promesa en la dirección de orquestas, tal como nuestro Gustavo Dudamel.
Cuando menos lo he pensado han compartido el concierto completo, y se trata del impresionante e imponente Réquiem de Verdi, pero no ha sido en el canal de la empresa ni en el canal de nuestra agrupación coral, así que hoy quiero compartirles un nuevo canal musical de Youtube, el de nuestros colegas de la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar ❤️ ganadores de Grammys igualq ue nosotros, y de gran trayectoria y hasta tocaron junto a Coldplay el año pasado. Ellos son grandes, y su canal de Youtube es poderoso, especialmente si tienes debilidad por el estilo musical que hacemos aquí. El canal es relativamente nuevo, pero a la velocidad que la orquesta hace conciertos, estoy seguro que tendrán mucho para disfrutar en poco tiempo... Espero que les guste tanto como a mí 🙏
