Coral Juvenil "Juan Bautista Plaza"

I am officially on vacation and I am at home, in the house where I grew up, strangely today I did not wake up with my wife, it has been so long that particularly today everyone woke up at their mother's house, although today is Jhoxiris' birthday. The good thing about this distance in the first hours of her birthday is that I will be able to surprise her later with a detail that she doesn't even expect? I think I'll be here for a week, as I need to go back to Caracas and prepare for our August trip, but I'm sure I'll be back during the holiday season.

Oficialmente ya estoy de vacaciones y estoy en mi casa, en la casa donde crecí, extrañamente hoy no amanecí junto a mi esposa, ha pasado tanto tiempo que particularmente hoy cada quien amaneció en la casa de su mamá, aunque hoy es el cumpleaños de Jhoxiris. Lo bueno de esta distancia en las primeras horas de su cumpleaños es que podré sorprenderla más tarde con un detalle que ni se espera... Creo que estaré una semana por acá, ya que necesito volver a Caracas y prepararnos para nuestro viaje de Agosto, pero estoy seguro que volveré durante la temporada vacacional.

The point of this post is that it has only been a couple of days and I am already starting to miss my artistic life hahaha, it was really a great end of the season. The dress rehearsal on Friday and the final concert on Saturday were great experiences, as we joined the main choirs of Caracas, such as the Niños Cantores de Venezuela, the youth initiation choir, which is the one you can see in the video, the senior choir, the young professional choir and us, the National Choir, but undoubtedly these guys who make up the Regional Youth Choir “Juan Bautista Plaza” captivated my heart.

El punto de este post es que ha pasado solo un par de días y ya comienzo a extrañar mi vida artística jajaja, es que realmente fue un gran final de temporada. El ensayo general del Viernes y el concierto final del Sábado fueron gratas experiencias, ya que nos unimos los coros principales de Caracas, como los Niños Cantores de Venezuela, la coral de iniciación juvenil, que es la que puede apreciar en el video, la coral de adultos mayores, la joven coral profesional y nosotros, la Coral Nacional, pero sin duda alguna estos chicos que conforman la Coral Regional Juvenil "Juan Bautista Plaza" cautivaron mi corazón.

This choral group is formed by teenagers and young adults. Some of them arrived here at a very young age and did not even know how to tune, I know this because it is directed by a dear friend of years and I know the work he has done to make it grow. Even though their voices are not mature, they have already sung symphonic choirs with some of the orchestras of the institution. We are talking about more than 130 children, more than the National Choir, and although they only have a scholarship as an economic incentive, they perform daily and make music with the same passion as the professional groups, something that as a Venezuelan fills me with pride and makes me continue betting on this beautiful path of choral music that I have chosen for my life 🙏

Esta agrupación coral está formada por adolescentes y jóvenes adultos. Algunos de ellos llegaron hasta acá a muy temprana edad y ni siquiera sabían afinar, lo sé porque es dirigida por un querido amigo de años y me consta el trabajo que ha hecho para hacerla crecer. A pesar de que sus voces no son maduras ya han cantado sinfónico corales junto a algunas de las orquestas de la institución. Estamos hablando de más de 130 chicos, más que nosotros la Coral Nacional, y aunque solo tienen una beca como incentivo económico se presentan a diario y hacen música con la misma pasión que las agrupaciones profesionales, algo que como venezolano me llena de orgullo y me hace seguir apostando por este hermoso camino de música coral que he elegido para mi vida 🙏
