Una Noche con Richard Wagner en el Teatro Teresa Carreño

¡Feliz inicio de semana para todos!. Con mucha alegría quiero compartir un poco de mi experiencia este fin de semana en la Sala Ríos Reyna del Teatro Teresa Carreño de Caracas. Tenía algún tiempo que no cantaba en este majestuoso lugar para la música en Venezuela, creo que desde nuestro concierto con el salsero Oscar de León en 2022, y aunque siempre estoy aquí como espectador, ser parte de la función siempre es otro nivel.

Happy beginning of the week to all of you! It is with great joy that I want to share a bit of my experience this weekend at the Ríos Reyna Hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas. It had been some time since I had sung in this majestic place for music in Venezuela, I think since our concert with salsa singer Oscar de León in 2022, and although I am always here as a spectator, being part of the show is always another level.

En cualquier realidad siempre es bueno cambiar de ambiente, y esto es precisamente lo que viví el fin de semana. Amo cantar en nuestra sede principal bajo nuestro imponente órgano, pero la Sala Ríos Reyna es un lugar mágico que ha recibido a importantes artistas, siempre me ha parecido mentira cuando piso este escenario y nunca pierdo la ilusión cada vez que nos informan que cantaremos ahí. Muchos de mis mejores momentos en la música los he vivido aquí, pero este fin de semana he sumado uno nuevo, mi primera experiencia con la música de Richard Wagner, jamás pensé que cantaría este tipo de repertorio, ópera de la pesada. Al tratarse de una gala se interpretaron varios momentos famosos de su repertorio, resaltando Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Tannhäuser, Lohengrin y The Valkyrie.

In any reality it is always good to have a change of scenery, and this is precisely what I experienced this weekend. I love to sing in our main venue under our imposing organ, but the Ríos Reyna Hall is a magical place that has received important artists, it has always seemed like a lie when I step on this stage and I never lose the illusion every time we are informed that we will sing there. Many of my best moments in music have been lived here, but this weekend I have added a new one, my first experience with the music of Richard Wagner, I never thought I would sing this kind of repertoire, heavy opera. As it was a gala, several famous moments of his repertoire were performed, highlighting Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Tannhäuser, Lohengrin and The Valkyrie.

Una de las grandes sorpresas del día fue haberme reencontrado con @orimusic y @nahupuku, amigos que conocí en el nicho musical aquí en Hive y que ya nos habíamos visto en la primera Caracas Blockchain Week. Parece mentira, pero cuadrar un encuentro con los amigos de Hive más allá de las actividades que se realizan es bastante complicado, al menos en el caso de nosotros que nunca paramos de trabajar es así, por eso valoro momentos que se dan naturalmente como este, fue e un post donde se me ocurrió invitarlos y a pocas horas de comenzar la función me respondieron y de aquí quedaron estas fotos épicas de nuestro pequeño encuentro y la promesa de vernos con más calma algún día de estos y hasta de hacer música juntos, por qué no?... Gracias muchachos ❤️

One of the big surprises of the day was meeting again with @orimusic and @nahupuku, friends I met in the music niche here at Hive and that we had already met in the first Caracas Blockchain Week. It seems unbelievable, but squaring a meeting with friends of Hive beyond the activities that take place is quite complicated, at least in the case of us who never stop working is so, so I value moments that occur naturally like this, it was in a post where I thought to invite them and a few hours before starting the show they responded and here were these epic photos of our little meeting and the promise to see us more calmly one of these days and even make music together, why not?... Thanks guys ❤️

Creo que está de más mencionar lo feliz que me sentí, de hecho tengo varias semanas con este sentimiento porque no pensé que pudiera resistir cantar la ópera de Wagner.

Evidentemente mi voz pop no tiene nada que ver con esta música, pero vaya que la práctica y la experiencia me ha dado la resistencia para abarcar inteligentemente esta música y salir invicto de este concierto, aunque el coro no cantó tantas horas como sí tocaron los pobres chicos de la orquesta 🤣 el director alemán Thomas Hennig nos dijo que nuestra historia junto a él y Wagner no culmina aquí, en el 2025 se pretende hacer la ópera Lohengrin acá en Venezuela, así que pongo toda mi energía y oraciones para que la vida me permita ser parte de esa futura experiencia, pero el estudio y la práctica deben ser parte de mi cotidianidad.

I think it goes without saying how happy I felt, in fact I have been feeling this way for several weeks because I didn't think I could resist singing Wagner's opera. Evidently my pop voice has nothing to do with this music, but wow, practice and experience has given me the stamina to intelligently embrace this music and come out of this concert undefeated, even though the choir did not sing as many hours as the poor guys in the orchestra did 🤣 German conductor Thomas Hennig told us that our story together with him and Wagner does not end here, in 2025 we intend to make the opera Lohengrin here in Venezuela, so I put all my energy and prayers so that life allows me to be part of that future experience, but the study and practice must be part of my daily life.

No me queda más que despedirme agradeciendo a todos los que visitan y apoyan mis publicaciones. Aún no me creo que pueda seguir publicando y haciendo mis trabajos de curación con tantas actividades diarias que tengo encima, pero quienes amamos Hive entendemos el sentimiento 😅 extiendo un saludo especial a todos los que hacen vida en la comunidad Sound Music, amigos y colegas que hemos aprendido a querernos a través de las pantallas y hasta un poco más allá. ¡Que tengan un excelente Lunes y una gran semana en nombre de Dios! 🙏

I have nothing left but to say goodbye thanking everyone who visits and supports my posts. I still can't believe I can keep posting and doing my healing work with so many daily activities on top of me, but those of us who love Hive understand the feeling 😅 I extend a special greeting to all those who make life in the Sound Music community, friends and colleagues who have learned to love each other through the screens and even a little beyond.
