I believe in God, Even When He is Silent | Our World Peace Concerts Weekends
Happy weekend to all of you. Around here the weekend concerts have been activated after a strong season with the world congress and a well deserved rest. We are not in a moment of musical pre-tour, so again there is a lot of work to do rehearsing more than 50 choral arrangements from Monday to Friday and singing on Saturdays and Sundays, which is very necessary before performing out of town or out of the country to relax the new musical pieces (it is better that a mistake happens than to correct it here at home and work on it).
This experience we lived last weekend, we visited the imposing church in La Tahona, Caracas and we did a concert for peace, because lately with so much war we want to explore our most sublime repertoire, since it is difficult to make happy music and ignore what is happening in the world. I shared a previous post to this one to show you the architecture of the place, you can read it by clicking here.
In my musical group we are 100 people, so it is not easy to maintain harmony and synchronize when something goes wrong, in fact these days we had another concert and although it went well, the previous dress rehearsal was terrible in every way. But if there is something that unites us and makes our group work great is singing that peaceful music over and over again, and the fact of living together daily in seasons like this makes us love each other even more. I feel that our hearts beat to the same beat just as we sing to the same compas. At this weekend concert there were many smiles before and after the music and a wonderful positive energy that we transmitted to the audience.
I don't know about everyone else, but my girl and I enjoyed every moment of the weekend, especially our visit to the church. I swear it's one of the most amazing I've ever seen, and you can tell just by the facade and the height of the place. We sang very, very close to the audience and our sound is really embracing, you could see the impression on their faces, and even though all the music was quite similar for being songs of peace, people stayed until the end of our concert.
This video was recorded by one of the tenors who was sick, I saw the perfect opportunity to record a little bit of the moment and share it with you. The song is titled Even When He Is Silent, and wow, it's one of the best we have right now. The music is by Kim André Arnesen and it is said that this poem was found on a ruined wall after WWII in Cologne, Germany and was possibly written by a Jew. We all know what people suffered and surely the author was hidden for a long time in that place and that he still left a message of love for God, despite everything they lived through makes my skin crawl, because that is having faith. I share with you the lyrics that we sing in the video...
Original Poem
I believe in the sun
even when it is not shining
And I believe in love,
even when there’s no one there.
And I believe in God,
even when he is silent.
I believe through any trial,
there is always a way
But sometimes in this suffering
and hopeless despair
My heart cries for shelter,
to know someone’s there
But a voice rises within me, saying hold on
my child, I’ll give you strength,
I’ll give you hope.
Just stay a little while.
I believe in the sun
even when it is not shining
And I believe in love
even when there’s no one there
But I believe in God
even when he is silent
I believe through any trial
there is always a way.
May there someday be sunshine
May there someday be happiness
May there someday be love
May there someday be peace.
As I told you in my previous post, there was a couple getting married when we arrived at the church, that caught my attention. While the others were getting ready for our presentation I snuck into the wedding and even took some pictures. I don't know what the bride, groom and family must have thought hahaha, maybe they thought I was a church photographer, since I was dressed in black and that was even stranger.
At the end of the day we went to our favorite mall, coincidentally purely people from the choir that is in Hive, even though they are no longer active. I was accompanied by @kimberlycmq, her cousin @karlaquinviolin and my beloved @jhoxiris. We were shopping for a while and at the end we had dinner, because if there's something that lets us stand for more than an hour in front of the public is a lot of hunger 🤣
I hope this post has been to everyone's liking, I love this community to narrate the best of my weekends, and I really had time without spending such a good Saturday and having to get home so late, literally all had been to rest, but already started the strong music season again, so I hope to have more weekend experiences for the rest of the year. @avdesing, this is one of the promised videos 😉 Happy Sunday for all!...

What a wonderful choir, I love it! It really gives me goose bumps to hear things like this, from choirs to orchestras, it touches the soul deeply.
I'm glad you had the chance to film a little bit for us and thanks for mentioning me! That's great! Thank you very much, I enjoyed it a lot! That timing is wonderful again thank you!❤️
Happy Monday!. Thanks to you for joining me again. This was a great concert, but I was only able to record three numbers, all very sublime as we are dedicated to music for peace, I hope to be able to share the others... Definitely this music makes your skin crawl when you know its context and its beautiful chords...
It is beautiful music! Very exciting, I hope to hear more of this, I love it. Very nice start to the week @jesuslnrs ✨

I really like this post, @jesuslnrs. It transmits me a lot of peace and hope. It's very touching that poem, considering the story it might have behind it. Unfortunate things that this humanity has had to see, where hugs should prevail.
Greetings from Havana.
I wish you both a nice and productive week.
Thank you very much Nanixxx, happy start of the week! The love that is proclaimed in this poem is what should reign in the world, I find it hard to understand what is happening today. It's ok to have differences and arguments, but to get to the point of war? That is unforgivable 💔

Wonderful my friends, thank you so much!...
Hi @jesuslnrs, I'm here again, I just came from seeing the post about the church and in this place if you had good times. Hearing the choir and reading you in this post is very hopeful. Thank you for allowing me and everyone to feel this spiritual gift.
A hug 🙏💙
Happy to read you again!, and it's good that you also stopped by, so you can complement the previous post where I talked about acoustics. My friend who recorded the video while we were singing was quite far away from us, so you could appreciate the real sound that this place gives us, which although I said it is boring in its central part is perfect for sublime music like this. Thank you very much for visiting both posts...
Of a truth, there are times believing seems difficult but it is still good to believe because God is God and nothing changes him.
Maintaining harmony with a crowd is mostly difficult but you all still sang so well and I enjoyed listening to the sounds.
This is really a mighty building oooo, if I see myself one day I just have to be looking around maybe throughout the service..hahhaahha
