The Joy Behind the Pain [Eng-Esp] La Alegría detrás del Dolor

Hi friends, I start this week very excited and with adrenaline at 1000%!!!... The first thing I'm doing is trying to upload this video through @ecency's platform, I've never done it, but it seems to be a good idea and I've read good reviews about it. So if you get to see this video it's because I have achieved my purpose. Second, but not less important is that this video comes to you courtesy of the moms of the singers of the National Chorale who are our main supporters. This concert took place on Sunday, March 3rd in the city of Caracas, and I know I always say the same thing, but it was WONDERFUL!

¡Hola amigos, comienzo esta semana muy emocionado y con la adrenalina a 1000%.!. Lo primero que estoy haciendo es intentar subir este video a través de la plataforma de @ecency, nunca lo he hecho, pero parece ser una buena idea y he leído buenas críticas al respecto. Así que si logran ver este video es porque he logrado mi propósito. Lo segundo, pero no menos importante es que este video llega a ustedes cortesía de las mamás de los cantantes de la Coral Nacional que son nuestras principales seguidoras. Este concierto se llevó a cabo el Domingo 03 de Marzo en la ciudad de Caracas, y sé que siempre digo lo mismo, pero fue ¡MARAVILLOSO!.

The music we are singing here is called "O Vos Omnes", a motet that is always sung during Holy Week and is full of much pain, the pain of Christ reflected also in people, so it usually sounds sad, dense and in minor keys. This particular arrangement belongs to the musician Pau Casals and is usually one of the most popular among so many versions of the same liturgical text.

La música que estamos cantando aquí se llama "O Vos Omnes", un motete que siempre se canta en Semana Santa y que está lleno de mucho dolor, el dolor de Cristo reflejado también en las personas, así que generalmente suena triste, denso y en tonalidades menores. Este arreglo en particular pertenece al músico Pau Casals y suele ser de los más populares entre tantas versiones del mismo texto litúrgico.

After the Venezuelan migration of 2017 and 2018 there were few choristers left from the former National Choir "Simon Bolivar", and this work was part of the common sacred repertoire of that group where only about 10 people remain today. Practically the other 80 members have joined the choir during the last seven years, so we are practically premiering this musical arrangement again and it will be part of our international tour that will begin in a few weeks. It has been 7 years without making music outside Venezuela, but after so much training and re-powering, the time has come to show the world what this new generation has achieved with so much work and effort ❤️

Después de la migración venezolana de 2017 y 2018 quedaron pocos coralistas de la antigua Coral Nacional "Simón Bolívar", y esta obra era parte del repertorio sacro común de aquel grupo donde solo quedan al rededor de 10 personas en la actualidad. Prácticamente los otro 80 integrantes hemos entrado a la coral durante los últimos siete años, así que prácticamente estamos estrenando este arreglo musical otra vez y será parte de nuestra gira internacional que comenzará dentro de pocas semanas. Son 7 años sin hacer música fuera de Venezuela, pero luego de tanto entrenamiento y repotenciados ha llegado el momento de mostrarle al mundo lo que esta nueva generación ha logrado con tanto trabajo y esfuerzo ❤️

The music in this video is heartbreaking and painful, but the emotion we experienced at our first pre-tour concert was sublime, it all came out very well. There are always mixed reviews of our own work, but we came away pleased with this repertoire. Today is our only day off in a long time, so I will make the most of it. In the meantime I say goodbye thanking you for all the love that my friends from Hive give me even though I have been less active with so much work and giving you this version of O Vos Omnes that is on our Youtube channel, but sung by the old generation of La Coral, the young people who opened the doors of the wonders we enjoy today...

La música en este video es desgarradora y dolorosa, pero la emoción que vivimos en nuestro primer concierto pre gira fue sublime, todo nos ha quedado muy bien. Siempre hay opiniones diversas de nuestro propio trabajo, pero salimos complacidos de este repertorio. Hoy es nuestro único día libre en mucho tiempo, así que lo aprovecharé al máximo. Mientras tanto me despido agradeciéndoles todo el cariño que me dan mis amistades de Hive a pesar de que he estado menos activo con tanto trabajo y regalándoles esta versión del O Vos Omnes que está en nuestro canal de Youtube, pero cantada por la antigua generación de La Coral, los jóvenes que nos abrieron las puertas de las maravillas que hoy disfrutamos...
