Successful Closing Saturday and Promising Opening Sunday for Venezuelan Music in the World

This weekend has been wonderful, it is the closing of a week of much music and learning and the beginning of the most important week in our group, since tomorrow Monday we will start the world congress that will project our institution beyond our borders. We are making a lot of music and everything is summarized in the upcoming concerts of this week where we will show the public the World Orchestra and the World Choir, two groups formed by artists from various parts of the world.

As you may know I belong to the singers and since Monday we received our international guests, and lucky for me, all the tenors who arrived speak Spanish, since they come from Chile, Argentina, Dominican Republic and Colombia. But when I meet with the big group for the dress rehearsal it is more complicated, as there are many languages in the room at the moment. Yesterday Saturday was a challenge for me, because I had a hard time with the pronunciation of the Arabic song and the Greek song, but today Sunday I have mastered them, I studied last night and a few minutes ago I enjoyed singing them to the fullest.

On Saturday we had our rehearsal in the main hall of our institution, we are approximately 130 singers, we are a little cramped on the stage, but happy and we sound powerful. It is great to have colleagues from Europe, Oceania, Asia and Africa with us Americans. In our main concert we will sing a piece from each country in their original languages, and we will have another concert with the orchestra that is also made up of people from all over the world, we will be about 400 musicians on stage singing music by Beethoven and Handel's Hallelujah.

I have shared several videos during the week, but today Sunday we rehearsed one of our Venezuelan pieces, this is our last rehearsal before tomorrow's opening event. The piece is called Aires de Golpe Tuyero and we were joined by a guy from the orchestra who plays the harp, just for fun, as this song is originally acapella. We are sorry that the singers are singing sitting down, but we are really tired, we have been rehearsing all day every day, but this Sunday afternoon we will be able to rest a little bit.

The teacher has had to time the musical pieces so we don't overdo it in future concerts, so the videos have been a good excuse to know how long we took hehe, hope you like it despite the informal.
