Hive Open Mic Week #154 || Musical Comedy || A Cover of Happy Mumu (fool) @jesus-son || [Eng/Esp]

Hello Hive Open Mic Week #154, my name is @jesus-son and in this post I come with my entry for the weekly event. Thank you for coming around, I hope you derive some meaning in my work and enjoy.

Music is one phenomenon which possesses many qualities such as the quality to make one laugh or cry, the quality to make one reflect or be in a party mood, etc.

In this week we are called to reflect on the theme of musical comedy as proposed by our recent spotlight artiste @nancybmp. For me it is a big challenge as I am the type that base more on gospel songs which basically are songs for worship. Thus, getting to perform a song that fit into the theme adequately took me some time of research and practice.

At the long run, I came across this very funny song which was used in a Nigerian movie titled "Osinachi my Wife". The title of the song is "Happy Mumu" which can otherwise be translated in Pure English to "Happy Fool". Funny right? Hahaha.

It was sung by Stanley Okorie, a man who is well known for singing short songs used mostly in movies. In the movie, a man loves his wife so much such that he refuses to listen to anybody telling him that he is not being the man in the marriage. As a matter of fact, he is behaving like a fool. The man accepts to be Called a fool if that is what it means because he loves his wife.

The song was produced in Nigerian pidgin English and sounds very funny. But it has very important lessons for lovers. In a relationship, at times one partner has to act like a fool for the sake of the other. If you want to be critical about every action of the other person, then you will always find fault in the relationship and never will the relationship work perfectly. One person has to make the sacrifice of assuming to be a fool at a point in time for the workability of the relationship.

From the lyrics, the man says that he is crazy for the lady and doesn't care whatever people say. He would buy anything the lady needs for whatever money he has is also for the lady. He accepts to be called Mumu (fool) for the sake of love. Infact he says he is a happy mumu (fool), hehe. That is the literal meaning in the song as sung in Nigerian pidgin English.

hola Hive Open Mic Week #154, mi nombre es @jesus-son y en esta publicación vengo con mi entrada para el evento semanal. Gracias por venir, espero que encuentres algún significado en mi trabajo y lo disfrutes.

La música es un fenómeno que posee muchas cualidades, como la cualidad de hacer reír o llorar, la cualidad de hacer reflexionar o tener ganas de fiesta, etc.

En esta semana estamos llamados a reflexionar sobre el tema de la comedia musical propuesto por nuestra reciente artista destacada @nancybmp. Para mí es un gran desafío ya que soy del tipo que se basa más en canciones evangélicas que básicamente son canciones de adoración. Por lo tanto, llegar a interpretar una canción que encajara adecuadamente con el tema me llevó un tiempo de investigación y práctica.

A la larga, encontré esta canción muy divertida que se usó en una película nigeriana titulada "Osinachi my Wife". El título de la canción es "Happy Mumu", que de otro modo se puede traducir en inglés puro como "Happy Fool". ¿Gracioso, verdad? Jajaja.

Fue cantada por Stanley Okorie, un hombre conocido por cantar canciones cortas que se usan principalmente en películas. En la película, un hombre ama tanto a su esposa que se niega a escuchar a cualquiera que le diga que no está siendo el hombre del matrimonio. De hecho, se está comportando como un tonto. El hombre acepta que lo llamen tonto si eso es lo que significa porque ama a su esposa.

La canción fue producida en inglés pidgin nigeriano y suena muy divertida. Pero tiene lecciones muy importantes para los enamorados. En una relación, a veces uno de los miembros tiene que actuar como un tonto por el bien del otro. Si quieres ser crítico con cada acción de la otra persona, entonces siempre encontrarás fallas en la relación y nunca funcionará perfectamente. Una persona tiene que hacer el sacrificio de asumir que es un tonto en un momento dado para que la relación funcione.

De la letra, el hombre dice que está loco por la dama y que no le importa lo que diga la gente. Él compraría todo lo que la dama necesita porque el dinero que tiene también es para la dama. Acepta ser llamado Mumu (tonto) por amor. De hecho dice que es un mumu (tonto) feliz, jeje. Ese es el significado literal de la canción cantada en inglés pidgin nigeriano.
