Hello friends of hive music zone community, my name is Jesus-son and here I bring you a jam for the Jamming Zone week 13. Its amazing sharing music here and especially in this platform of making spontaneous stuffs.

When I started learning how to play the musical instruments, I had a very high taste for a good skill. I watched many instrumentalists the way they played and wanted to just play like them. Those days, whenever I went to the church, I would go to sit beside the band players eventhough I was not a member of the choir.

I had the opportunity of being in a place where there were several instruments at my disposal to use to learn and I didn't misuse the opportunity at all, I started with the violin and the piano together and during the day, I would practice the violin and at night, the piano, I went on that way with a target. As time went by I became more interested in playing the piano and relaxed a bit with the violin but I have the basice skills anyway, hehe.

Whatever instrument that came my way, I tried to know a thing about it and at least be able to play something from it. And so I was able to learn several of these instruments and which today are making ways for me. I remember the last time I was in a church and there was a trumpet there, I used it to shine there and drew people to myself. Well, more were ladies, hehe.

Beginning to play the musical instruments, I loved the style of the famous Nigerian musician, the master of afro-beat, Fela kuti. His beats are just out of this world. Very perfect organisation. In fact, we adopted his style at a certain time in my church in playing some Christian songs and it made great sense.

I love Fela and his perfect usage of the achromatic scales, he drives me crazy with that, some times, I just go to the youtube and listen to his songs. He is a lord of music. So this jam I made here is one of those afro styles. This is built on minor scales. I enjoyed myself making this friends. I hope that you too would enjoy listening to it as I bring it to you with joy. This is done on the key of A Flat.

What I love most about this production is the sound from the left hand, it is a typical of Fela style. I would have added a beat but wanted it to be plain. Thanks so much for your support dear friends.

One of Fela's productions which I love

The fact is that any skill you really want to learn just get a role model who did very well, focus on the person then set your own goals and be determined to achieve it, I can say that you are good to go .
