Good day, beautiful and handsome people of the Music Community and the Hive Blockchain in general. I trust that you are all doing well today.

My friend @meyateingi and I decided to cover the song Lovely by Billie Eilish ft Khalid. At first, it was supposed to be a trio thing, that would have been Meya, @obaro, and I, but as it turned out that Obaro was extremely busy, our plans changed.

Our discussion about this duet has been ongoing since August, so it is very good that we are able to sing it now and can go on to score other songs well.

Did you see or listen to our last duet? We sang 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and it was posted in the Hive Open Mic community.

Meya commented that it is a popular and lovely song after I suggested it, and I agreed.

When I suggested the song, I had not scored the lyrics very well. In fact, I only scored it well yesterday after both of us decided to sing the song and upload the video to Hive already.

As soon as we decided how we wanted the video to look, I asked Meya to send me her video recording and audio recording. I merged the two in the Inshot editing app.

I harmonized the chorus, while Meya sang the melody after the second verse. I also added sound effects to give it more life. At the end of the cover, I mixed my voice and Meya's voice. Mine was in the high and low octave of the song. I tried to make that bass sound audible just like it was in the song.

Finally, I decided to leave it the way it was and not let the perfectionist in me take over. It is because I know that if I heed the voice of the perfectionist in me, the video will not be published. Have you experienced something like that before?

Editing the video was fun, but not easy due to the migraine I was suffering throughout the process.

I managed to produce this, it may not be the best, but I am confident that it will improve as we gain more knowledge.
