Afritunes #108 - Ise Oluwa & Mo mo ri ri re (cover) by @jessicaossom
Hello friends! This is a another amazing Afritunes week 108!
For this week, I have merged two popular Yoruba gospel songs together to create one sweet new song. It's this new song I want to talk about today. Hehe
The song starts by saying "Ise Oluwa ko le baje o" - the works and plans of God cannot be destroyed. This part reminds us that God has the highest power and control over everything in this life. No matter the challenges that come, God is in charge and His purposes will stand strong.
After that intro part, the song then goes into the lyrics "Mo mo riri re, torina ni mo se nyo" which means "I appreciate it, that's why I rejoice." This section is to show gratitude and joy to God for all the blessings He has poured on us every day. We have many reasons to thank and praise Him.
So in this merged song, it first establishes that God's power cannot be shaken and He is in control of everything. Then it moves to celebrate God's goodness as we thank Him for all the sweet things He has done for us with His great love.
The overall meaning is that we should have strong belief that nobody or nothing can stop God's will and works for our lives. And because we have this faith, we can then rejoice and appreciate all the good things He has done for us with His kind heart.
The song calls us to live with confidence in God's control over every situation, as we too have a thankful heart for the many ways He shows His kindness to us every day. Real power and real gratitude work hand-in-hand in this song.
