Afritunes #102 - You Are Glorious (cover) by @jessicaossom
Greetings to everyone in the AFRITUNES COMMUNITY. For the week 102 event, I decided to sing the song 'You are Glorious in your ways' by Philip Adzale. I chose to sing this song because it is one of the uplifting worship songs I know. For this entry, I googled what chords I could use to play the song on my guitar, so I just learned this in less than 5 mins and decided to play it along as I sing for my entry.
Let's just say I have crossed the novice level but I am still very much a beginner, you can also tell from the way I was looking for which string to strike. Even though I am still a beginner at playing the guitar, I wanted to share this uplifting worship song with the AFRITUNES community. Music has a way of touching our hearts and connecting us to God in a powerful way. As the lyrics say, "You are glorious in your ways, You are glorious in all your ways." Spending time praising God through song can lift our spirits and remind us of God's glory and majesty.
I appreciate you all bearing with me as I continue to learn the guitar. I know my playing is not perfect, but I hope the sincerity of my worship comes through despite the simple chords and novice musicianship. We all have to start somewhere on our musical journey! I am thankful for platforms like AFRITUNES that allow us to share our musical gifts, even in the early stages of development.
My goal is to continue practicing and improving my guitar skills so that one day I can lead worship with excellence. But for now, I want to use what little I know to glorify God. Even if it's just basic chords and simple melodies, music can still be an offering of praise.
One of the things I love about this group is the diversity of gifts and talents. Yet we are all united in our desire to honor God through music.
Let's encourage one another as we develop and share our gifts. And may our offerings of praise, whether polished or simple, remind us of God's beautiful majesty. He is creative and imaginative beyond measure. May we reflect His glory as we glorify Him through songs, instruments, dance, and the arts.
Thank you again for listening and for being part of this community. I look forward to continued musical growth and sharing together in the weeks ahead!
