Hello everyone to a new edition of Three Tune Tuesday. In this one, I will go over some of the songs I'm having on heavy rotation this week. From Disco "Dance" pop to experimental hip-hop, you'll see a nice variety of songs to keep you entertained and thrilled.
SONG 1: George Michael - Outside
You might wonder what this song is about. You Guessed It! It's about sex in public. Jokes aside, the background of this song is really interesting.
Six months before "Outside" was released, the singer, producer, and composer George Michael was arrested for "cottaging" (a slang term from the UK, to describe anonymous sex between men in public places) Thing for which he was sentenced to 80 hours of community service.
The artist, whose homosexuality had been rumored about for years, publicly confirmed this shortly after the incident. But this motivated me much more than that. He worked on what would be his last top three UK singles chart entry, Outside.
This song, with heavily sexual undertones, talks about how he's "tired" of doing It behind closed doors, inciting people to go "outside". However, he makes It subliminal enough to enjoy this mixture of disco electronic beats with strings that will make everyone have a blast. Fully recommend It.
Danny Brown - When It Rain
If you're a fan of alternative Hip-Hop, then this song is for you! This is a combination of a horror movie score with the Hotline Miami soundtrack that makes Danny Brown at his artistic peak spit out the reality of gang life. When bullets begin to fly, things go sideways.
Looking for an Adrenaline, Druggy Trip, then this single from a critically acclaimed album will give you goosebumps!
Another Day of Sun - From the La La Land Soundtrack
This song will put a smile full of hope in everyone. From a movie I fully recommend, this song talks about the perspective of different people when they head to LA. Whether It is an aspiring singer, an actor or another artist, you'll hear about their dreams and aspirations in this new land. Innocent, yet beautiful.
Mixing the cheerful piano with strings and percussion makes up for a jazzy masterpiece of a soundtrack.
