I’m a newborn Christian and I’m filled with gloom.

But the powers that be did not like the way,
So they twisted the words, and changed what they say,
Confusing all the people just to get their way,

In 2014 I was heavily involved with church, online bible study etc... and I got tired of everyone simply wanting to show THEY had the right path, the correct interpretation of the bible, so I wrote these lyrics to express my dismay and disgust.

The lyrics are thought-provoking and I appreciate your message of love and unity.
I think your song is a powerful reminder of this. It's a call to action to stop quibbling and squabbling and start loving each other. It's a message that we all need to hear, especially in today's divided world.
It is the message that Jesus gave us all those centuries ago that have been perverted and changed by the religious people in power
