May have bitten off too much

Mrs. Bullard and me, at lunch.JPG

This was a LONG time ago

Oh dear, I hope I haven't stepped out too far.
Last week while at Ace Hardware in Smyrna, I was talking with a young man, told him about my playing music in Assisted Livings etc. That I hadn't played much and was thinking about retiring from it.
He said "Oh please don't stop, my mom is in Woodland Ridge up the street, the AD there plays the harp (bells going off) but they really need people to come in and lift spirits."
What is the AD's name? (I asked) He said he thought it was Kathryn, but couldn't remember the last name.
I thought for maybe20 seconds and asked him "Is it Kathryn Trice"?
Yeah! That is it.
So I gave him my card.
I met her many years ago when the West Cobb Arbor Terrace was there (It has changed names a couple of times.)
Yesterday, I got an email from her:

Seems it is not only me that the month of May is not only palatable

Historically, May has been a mixed bag with good and bad things happening.
So I try to not look for trouble.

If only I could play some musical instruments I would be really glad because I have a die-hard passion for music.

Just doing what you love is an amazing feeling, greetings!

Greetings to you @chuksmeezy , thanks for the comment.
I started lessons at age 11 in 1966, so I am not only an old f**er, I'm an old piano player as well ha ha ha

What an amazing thing: playing music for lovely ladies for cash. Does it get any better than that?

I suppose the only way it could get better would be if I could do it without pain (back, legs, hip, shoulders.... I'm a physical wreck nowadays it seems)
But in reality I don't hurt so much WHILE I'm playing. Thanks for commenting ¿Ben? @ironshield

In this way, whenever all the people gather together, it is a great time to reminisce with each other and enjoy the same.

I am the youngest of 10 kids. By the time I came along, the older ones were out with their own families, so what money used to be spread out caring for a bunch, could not be used more generously.

My Mama loved antiques, old furniture etc. Her Birthday was Feb 1st 1916, so in Jan 1965 daddy bought her an old, but working Bellows Organ. I immediately began "picking out" songs by ear. I was 10, and small for my age so that I had to pile up books in the chair so I could both reach the pedals to pump the bellows and play the keyboard.
Mama and Daddy both had a lot of music in their families, so they said "Well, lets give him some lessons and see what he's got."
I started in Sept 1966 and took piano lessons for 6 yrs. No one ever had to make me practice, it just came to me easily.
So there is my backstory
