Hahahha @edje you are super quick these days that’s for certain 🥹. How was the walk? the thing about having time to walk is that it clears your mind and let you have the time for yourself, that what i love about taking a stroll or jogging in the morning. Anyway, i hope you are also enjoying you weekends, do you have any book you can suggest for me to read? Hehhehe 😊

The walk was nice. Not so much me time, since my mind was occupied by listening a podcast about AI developments which I find super interesting.
Books to recommend. Depends on what kinda books you like. I read from casual easy-ish reading to literature, from business to technology and impact on society on us and whatnot.
Reads that stood out last years include:
"The Dawn of Everything" by David Graeber & David Wengrow
"Humankind" by Ruther Bergman
"DJ" by Ray Kluun
"The Grand Design" by Stephen Hawkins
"Shadows of the Mind" by Roger Penrose
Now am trying to read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand as well as "Brave New World" by Huxley. But seems I mostly spend my time reading this more easy reading book by some Norwegian crime writer. I guess am reading 3 books in parallel, or at least I am trying to 🙃
Any recommendations you have?
Hi @edje, I’ll definitely gonna read some of what you suggested someday, i feel like ill be liking some of the book you’ve mentioned.
I dont think you will like my preferred book cause Im currently more into romance, fantasy, and sci-fi books so ill not be suggesting any😅 of those. The only book I read that you might like is ikigai: the japanese secret to a long and happy life and that is pretty much it. Your suggestions are a great way for me to start venturing in to those type of books❤️. Also, wow reading 3 books, that nice, how can you understand all of that informations? Hahahha here i am finding it hard to even understand one book (like technical book or academic book) hahahah
Cooowwwl: I'll be searching for Ikigai. Thanks for this recommendation.
the 'japanese secret' reminded me of the word "Chindōgu" - in free format translation, this means "Japanese Art of inventing useless products" ... Made me laugh a lot when a Dutch show created a small section in their program like 3 decades ago. I started using this when I worked for an aircraft company in the 90s. We did research quite a bit, creating mechanical pieces. Much of them landed on the top of cupboards which I labelled with stickers "Chindōgu department". At first, our manager didn't know what it was but didn't ask. Until a moment he asked who put those stickers on and what it meant. So I explained resulting in him pulling his eyebrows so high up that it touched the sky high above our heads, and those stayed there for quite a considerable time. And then he nodded so hard his head almost fell off. He made some not recognisable sounds and - almost - ran out of our room.
Anyway my association with this Japanese Secret and seemingly I was ready to share this memory. BTW, I was known for this kind of thingies, that's why he reacted like he did and didn't say anything. I remember one day I was not at the office, and the stickers got removed. Colleagues told me it was our boss who had done that, but didn't dare to do this in my presence.
Anyway, I do hope you can get to some of the recommended books and you like what you gonna read and absorb. Well, you can always forget about the 'absorb' part, costs more energy than not to absorb 😆
