I just want to share a bit of this memorable experience I had with my family a year ago. Family is love and family is happiness, and because of these reasons me and my siblings are always trying as much as we can, to have some quality time with the family.

One of the beautiful places we visited is BALSA. Balsa at Birhen sa Moog Bay of Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental is the perfect destination if you want to feel the vibe of the sea breeze and crystal clear sea water. Located near the Punta Sulawan Point, Balsa is a set of floating cottages that offer families and groups a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature and the sea while spending a day comfortable and safe.

How to Get There?

To reach this amazing floating destination, you’ll need to ride a Bangka, a local boat. The docking point is located at Moog Bay, where visitors are asked to pay a small environment fee. This fee helps the municipality keep the area clean and well-maintained, ensuring that Balsa remains a beautiful and eco-friendly place to visit. You'll find it right beside Coral Beach Resort, making it a convenient spot for those already in the area.

Facilities and Features?

Balsa offers several features that make it an ideal place for relaxation and fun. The floating cottages can accommodate 40 to 50 people, which is perfect for large groups or family gatherings. The cottages come with various amenities that will make your stay comfortable.

Grilling Station – You can enjoy a barbecue with your family and friends. Grilling seafood or meat while enjoying the fresh sea breeze adds to the whole experience.

Comfort Room/Dressing Room – For convenience, there are clean restrooms and dressing areas where you can freshen up.

Inside the cottages, there is a mini pool where kids can enjoy swimming and playing. The net bed, which floats on the water, is also a fun way to relax and enjoy the view without worrying about sinking. Kids can also swing around and have a blast.
