Hola universo Hive. Me llamo Jean Carlos Duque Rivero, nací el 17 de febrero de 1987 en Caracas, Venezuela. Desde muy pequeño siempre he sido una persona alegre y sociable, con una sensibilidad que me ha acompañado a lo largo de toda mi vida. Crecí en Guarenas, un lugar lleno de recuerdos que siempre llevo conmigo.

Hello Hive universe. My name is Jean Carlos Duque Rivero, I was born on February 17, 1987 in Caracas, Venezuela. Since I was a child I have always been a cheerful and sociable person, with a sensitivity that has accompanied me throughout my life. I grew up in Guarenas, a place full of memories that I always carry with me.

Durante cuatro años estuve de misión como itinerante de una parroquia, con la intención de prepararme para el seminario y seguir una vocación religiosa, me enviaron a Roma para discernir y decidir cuál sería mi futuro en la preparación sacerdotal. Fue en ese tiempo, durante un encuentro de jóvenes del Camino Neocatecumenal, donde conocí a la persona que cambió mi vida: mi esposa. Me enamoré de ella y comprendí que mi verdadera vocación no era el sacerdocio, sino formar una familia. Por eso, decidí retirarme del seminario y dedicarme por completo a esa hermosa misión.

For four years I was on mission as a parish itinerant, with the intention of preparing myself for the seminary and following a religious vocation, I was sent to Rome to discern and decide what would be my future in priestly preparation. It was at that time, during a meeting of young people of the Neocatechumenal Way, that I met the person who changed my life: my wife. I fell in love with her and understood that my true vocation was not the priesthood, but to form a family. Therefore, I decided to leave the seminary and dedicate myself completely to this beautiful mission.

La música ha sido siempre una gran pasión para mí. En mi juventud formé parte de una banda de rock, donde tocaba la guitarra y disfrutaba expresarme a través de ese género que tanto amo. La música fue mi refugio y una parte importante de quién soy.

Music has always been a great passion for me. In my youth I was part of a rock band, where I played guitar and enjoyed expressing myself through this genre that I love so much. Music was my refuge and an important part of who I am.

Me dedico al comercio, un campo en el que he aprendido a trabajar duro y enfrentar los retos con constancia y determinación. Para mí, el trabajo es una forma de superación personal y de brindar bienestar a mi familia, que es lo más relevante en mi vida.

I work in commerce, a field in which I have learned to work hard and face challenges with perseverance and determination. For me, work is a way of self-improvement and of providing wellbeing to my family, which is the most important thing in my life.

Me casé a los 26 años y hoy soy padre orgulloso de dos hermosas niñas que practican gimnasia rítmica dentro de @gimnasialeonasg Gracias a ellos tengo la oportunidad de estar aquí. Acompañarlas y apoyarlas en sus sueños es una de las mayores alegrías que tengo. Disfruto mucho pasar tiempo con ellas, reír y compartir momentos en familia.

I got married at 26 and today I'm a proud father of two beautiful girls who practice rhythmic gymnastics within @gimnasialeonasg Thanks to them I have the opportunity to be here. Accompanying them and supporting them in their dreams is one of the greatest joys I have. I really enjoy spending time with them, laughing and sharing family moments.

No todo ha sido fácil. La pérdida de mi madre en un accidente automovilístico fue un golpe muy duro que me llevó a una etapa de profunda tristeza y depresión. Sin embargo, el amor y el apoyo de mi familia fueron el motor que me impulsó a seguir adelante, a sanar y a encontrar un nuevo propósito en la vida.

Not everything has been easy. The loss of my mother in a car accident was a very hard blow that led me to a stage of deep sadness and depression. However, the love and support of my family was the driving force that pushed me to move forward, heal and find a new purpose in life.

Hoy vivo con gratitud y alegría. Combino mi dedicación al trabajo con el disfrute de los pequeños momentos: tocar la guitarra, escuchar rock o simplemente pasar tiempo con mis hijas y mi esposa. Mi historia es la de alguien que ha sabido levantarse frente a la adversidad, que lleva en su corazón recuerdos y aprendizajes, y que vive con la esperanza y el amor como guía. Today I live with gratitude and joy. I combine my dedication to work with the enjoyment of small moments: playing guitar, listening to rock music or simply spending time with my daughters and my wife. My story is that of someone who has been able to stand up in the face of adversity, who carries memories and learnings in his heart, and who lives with hope and love as his guide.
