Many times when we decide to watch an anime and give a chance to a story in most of the opportunities we stay only with that, with the plot, its characters and even with its animation but usually we leave behind something that at least for us is a pillar and a good base of the anime, its openings. Those songs that make the feeling of rootedness with a story is much greater and that even though some of them have been able to endure over time decades even today we still keep them as a reference. Today I am not here to show you the best ones, but the ones I like the most, the ones that have possibly marked me the most because of how iconic they can be. The power of a good opening is sometimes underestimated which for me is a big mistake because it is known that great anime have great songs so here are some of them.

Muchas veces cuando decidimos ver un anime y darle la oportunidad a una historia en la mayoría de las oportunidades nos quedamos solamente con eso, con la trama, sus personajes y hasta con su animación pero por lo general dejamos atrás algo que por lo menos para es pilar y una buena base de los anime, sus openings. Esas canciones que hacen que el sentimiento de arraigo con una historia sea mucho más grande y que a pesar de que algunas de ellas hayan sido capaces de perdurar en el tiempo décadas incluso hoy en día las sigamos manteniendo como referencia. El día de hoy no vengo a mostrar las mejores sino las que más me gustan, las que posiblemente más me han marcado por lo icónicas que pueden llegar a ser. El poder de un buen opening a veces es subestimado cosa que para mi es un gran error porque es sabido que los grandes anime tienen grandes canciones así que acá van algunas de ellas.

- Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze “The Cruel Angel's Thesis” - Evangelion

We all agree that this is one of the most beloved and popular anime of all times and this gem came out almost 30 years ago. Yōko Takahashi was the singer in charge of giving voice to this incredible piece and even today, at least I listen to it from time to time. Evangelion I remember when it was at its peak in the late 90's it was a story that was not recommended to be watched by children because of its psychological and even philosophical complexity, the truth is that it is a quite serious and heavy plot that I think is more enjoyable having a certain degree of maturity. It has a lot to do with religious symbolism as well, especially with Catholicism and its apocalypse, since these "angels" are looking for the destruction of humanity. The anime is amazing but its opening is not far behind, one of the best ever, that's why it's at the top of the list.

Todos estamos de acuerdo que estamos ante uno de los anime más queridos y populares de todos los tiempos y es que esta joya salió hace casi 30 años. Yōko Takahashi fue la cantante encargada de darle voz a esta pieza tan increíble y que incluso hoy en día, por lo menos yo la escucho de vez en cuando. Evangelion yo recuerdo cuando estuvo en su punto más alto por allá a finales de los 90 era una historia que no recomendaban que la vieran niños por lo compleja que es a nivel psicológico y hasta filosófico, la verdad es que es una trama bastante seria y pesada que creo yo se disfruta más teniendo cierto grado de madurez. Tiene mucho que ver con simbología religiosa también, sobre todo con el catolicismo y su apocalipsis ya que estos "ángeles" lo que buscan es la destrucción de la humanidad. El anime es increíble pero su opening no se queda atrás, de los mejores de siempre por eso está de primero en la lista.

- Sign/Opening 6 - Naruto

As you know, most anime have several openings depending on where the story is set. For me, this one by the Japanese band FLOW is one of the most heartfelt that has the plot and therefore one of the best sounding. Because yes, the song is actually very good, it is a kind of Rock very taken to the sounds of their own music. Naruto is another of those anime that captivated many, personally I'm not a big fan, and excuse me for that, but it is true that it is a story which attracts many people's attention. Typical thing about never giving up, always having clear goals, fighting for what you want and above all the power of a good friendship. The song talks a little bit about pain, that it makes us stronger and is the one that moves us in the worst situations. Good opening, the whole song is worth it.

Como bien saben la gran mayoría de los anime tienen varios opening según en donde se ubique la historia. Para mi, este de la banda japonesa FLOW es uno de los más sentidos que tiene la trama y por tanto de los que mejor suena. Porque si, la canción en realidad es muy buena, es una especie de Rock muy llevado a los sonidos propios de la música de ellos. Naruto es otro de esos anime que cautivaron a muchos, en lo personal no soy muy fan, y me disculpan por eso, pero si que es verdad que es una historia la cual a mucha gente le llama la atención. Típica cosa de nunca rendirse, siempre tener los objetivos claros, luchar por lo que se quiere y sobre todo el poder de una buena amistad. La canción habla un poco del dolor, de que él nos hace más fuertes y es el que nos mueve en las peores situaciones. Buen opening, la canción completa vale mucho la pena.

- The Rumbling - Shingeki No Kyojin

Here you can start the debate because if there is an anime that has good OP is Shingeki. For many of those who read me probably Shinzo Wo Sasageyo is the best of all because of the emotional level that song means and possibly they are right but for this server if there is a theme that makes our hair stand on end is The Rumbling. And that happens because of the context of this song, its lyrics and because of what was happening precisely when they decide to use this track. "The Rumbling is coming for you", so begins a song that tells us about someone who does not want to be king and that everything he did was to protect his own; basically it is the conclusion that left us the end of this anime. But besides this, it is a tragic song with a strong sound that perfectly describes the momentum of the story. In case you want to know this song is by SiM, a Japanese metal band. I think there are 7 SNK OP's and for me this one is at the top.

Acá se puede prender el debate porque si hay un anime que tiene buenos OP es Shingeki. Para muchos de los que me leen probablemente Shinzo Wo Sasageyo es el mejor de todos por el grado emocional que significa esa canción y posiblemente tengan razón pero para este servidor si hay un tema que nos pone los pelos de punta es The Rumbling. Y eso pasa por el contexto de esta canción, su letra y por lo que estaba pasando justamente cuando deciden usar este tema. "El retumbar viene por ti", así comienza una canción que nos habla de alguien que no quiere ser rey y que todo lo que hizo fue para proteger a los suyos; básicamente es la conclusión que nos dejó el final de este anime. Pero además de esto es una canción trágica con un sonido fuerte que describe perfecto el momentum de la historia. Por si lo desean saber esta cancion es de SiM, una grupo japonés de metal. Creo que son 7 los OP de SNK y para mi esté está en lo más alto.

- SPECIALZ - Jujutsu Kaisen

This one is a bit more current than the previous ones since it just ended a couple of weeks ago but really the Opening that they released for this second season in my opinion seems much better than the first one which is also very iconic. Specialz is performed by King Gnu, a Japanese band that plays hip-hop and even rap. I think that's the difference, in the genre, I haven't heard something like this for a long time. It is a song that talks about doing what the heart asks us to do so that it is as happy as possible, even if we are talking about the darkest and most sinister things that can happen. In a very short time Jujutsu Kaisen has become an important cult story worldwide and with it I'm sure its OPs will. I was really hooked by this track, its beginning is very top and catchy. It's just as good as the Shibuya arc was, they went toe to toe.

Este es un poco más actual que los anteriores ya que esto acaba de terminar hace un par de semanas pero realmente el Opening que sacaron para esta segunda temporada en mi opinión me parece mucho mejor que el primero el cual también es muy icónico. Specialz es interpretada por King Gnu, una banda japonesa que toca tema como hip-hop y hasta el rap. Creo que hay está la diferencia, en el género, tenía tiempo que no escuchaba algo parecido. Es un tema que nos habla de hacer lo que el corazón nos pida para que este esté lo más contento posible así estemos hablando de las cosas más oscuras y siniestras que puedan pasar. En muy poco tiempo Jujutsu Kaisen se convertido en una historia de culto importante a nivel mundial y con él estoy seguro que lo harán sus OP. Me enganchó mucho este tema, su inicio es muy top y pegajoso. Es igual de bueno a lo que fue el arco de Shibuya, fueron tal para cual.

- Cha-la Head Cha-la - Dragon Ball Z

Here I'm putting it in Japanese because I think it's fair to show the original song but I want you to know, non-Latin friends, that the version that came out in Latin America is equally or even more iconic than the original. I could not leave this list without this song so vital for many. I know that there are many who consider Dragon Ball to be very overrated compared to other anime out there but what cannot be denied is the impact it has had worldwide along with its OP. There is no person in the world that has seen DBZ that doesn't know this song, no matter the language, this theme is an anthem. I'm not lying if I tell you that I listen to this song and the memories that come to me from my childhood are very big. Undoubtedly one of the best openings in history.

Acá la estoy poniendo en japonés porque creo justo mostrar la canción original pero que sepan ustedes, amigos que no son latinos, que la version que salio en Latinoamerica es igual o hasta más icónica que esta original. No podía dejar esta lista sin este tema tan vital para muchos. Yo se que hay muchos que a Dragon Ball lo consideran muy sobrevalorado con respecto a otros anime que hay por ahí pero lo que no se puede negar es el impacto que este ha tenido a nivel mundial junto a su OP. No hay persona en el mundo que haya visto DBZ que no se sepa esta canción, sea del idioma que sea, este tema es un himno. No les miento si les digo que escucho este tema y los recuerdos que se me vienen de la infancia son muy grandes. Sin duda de los mejores openings de la historia.

Naruto has had a great opening, the truth is that it's animation whose sound is a pleasure to listen to and we don't want to get ahead of that part. I remember this opening a lot and I like it a lot, although I have other favourites out there. The Dragon Ball one is epic, so I won't say more. These two are my favourites from the list.

These are other Naruto Shippuden openings that I like, especially the second one, it's my favorite.

With Naruto it was hard to choose because that's just it, it has a lot of OPs out there. Most of them are very good but I don't know, I guess it will be a matter of taste. And yes, the Dragon Ball one is out of the question, for a nostalgic theme more than anything.

Lots of great songs. Actually I’ve been listening to a lot of anime songs, especially Specialz from JJK.
I don’t know why but whenever I hear The Rumbling, I don’t really like it. But many people do.

The Rumbling is a heavy song, I chose it basically because of the lyrics and the moment in which the story was, you really listen to that song after knowing everything that happens and see how it ends and the sense it makes is incredible.

tengo que admitir que en un principio SPECIALZ de Jujutsu Kaisen no me terminaba de convencer y la verdad casi no me gustaba pero luego de haberlo escuchado tanto, principalmente en videos y memes de instagram me termino gustando mas de lo que esperaba jaja

I have to admit that at the beginning SPECIALZ by Jujutsu Kaisen didn't convince me and the truth is that I almost didn't like it but after hearing so much about it, mainly in videos and instagram memes, I ended up liking it more than I expected haha.

It is very good, in fact better than the first season I would say. When the chapters really started I couldn't stop singing it, that's when I realized that I liked it and how cool the song is.

this is my kind of theme hahahaha, no doubt Naruto has many good songs, the opening of Evangelion is a masterpiece!

este es mi tipo de tema jajajaja, sin duda Naruto tiene muchas buenas canciones, el opening de Evangelion es una obra maestra!

From this list, and with all due respect to Dragon Ball, I would say that Evangelion is the top one. It's impossible not to like that song, years will go by and it will still be one of the best ever.
