Hacía un tiempo que no venía con un pequeño top de esas canciones que han salido últimamente y que me han llamado la atención. La razón del por qué dejé de hacer esto es porque cada vez siento que es más complicado hacen una compilación debido a la gran cantidad de música que está saliendo a lo largo de un mes, el consumismo de música cada vez es más alto al mismo tiempo que la mayoría de esas canciones que salen a la luz al cabo de unas semanas ya son desechadas por unas nuevas. Esto no es culpa de nadie, es simplemente una muestra de cómo está el mundo culturalmente y es que lo mismo que está pasando acá está sucediendo en el cine, una sobresaturación de contenido abismal. Pero el tema de hoy no es este, es un pequeño contexto para mostrarles las tres canciones que han salido hace poco y que llevamos un rato escuchando.

But today's topic is not this, it is a small context to show you the three songs that have been released recently and that we have been listening to for a while.

- Dua Lipa - Training Season

En la música hay algo que muy pocas personas consiguen a lo largo de sus carreras, estamos hablando de progresión y evolución. Muchos se quedan en donde saben que siempre van a funcionar, no buscan mejorar ningún aspecto que esté en la lista de lo que los define como artistas y eso para mi es un error. Por qué digo esto? - pues porque Dua Lipa es la muestra de que retocando pequeñas cosas es posible pasar de ser una buena artista a una verdadera estrella mundial. Cuando esta mujer mitad británica, mitad albanesa salió al ruedo era una buena cantante pero que sobre el escenario era alguien muy difícil de ver, un palo de escoba se movía más que ella. Afortunadamente eso cambió, porque así lo quiso ella, y hoy en día tenemos a una de las mejores artistas femeninas de los últimos años. Training Season es una de las canciones más pegajosas que he escuchado últimamente, la melodía, el beat, la musicalidad en general es muy buena. Y si, es un sonido muy pop y mainstream pero eso no le quita que la canción cumpla. La letra nos habla de que ella está buscando un amor real que sea capaz de hacer todo por ella, un amor definitivo y sólido porque para ella la temporada de entrenamiento terminó, lo que se entiende como ir de relación en relación sin rumbo. De las canciones que más me han gustado de ella y es meramente por su música y armonía; un tema muy top.

Training Season is one of the catchiest songs I've heard lately, the melody, the beat, the overall musicality is very good. And yes, it's a very pop and mainstream sound but that doesn't take away from the fact that the song delivers. The lyrics tell us that she is looking for a real love that is capable of doing everything for her, a definitive and solid love because for her the training season is over, which is understood as going from relationship to relationship without direction. One of the songs that I have liked the most of her and it is merely for its music and harmony; a very top song.

- Linkin Park - Friendly Fire

He hablado varias veces de Linkin Park pero es que cada vez que sale una "nueva" canción de ellos es necesario volver a repetir las palabras. Chester Bennington fue el alma y líder de ese grupo, un tipo con una voz realmente privilegiada y es tanto así que cuando salen estas canciones que estuvieron mucho tiempo engavetadas, por eso lo de "nueva", el sentimiento de nostalgia y emoción es muy real. Lo que está haciendo Linkin Park de la mano de Mike Shinoda es revivir temas que escribieron alguna vez pero que nunca salieron a la luz, en esta oportunidad tengo entendido que será un álbum recopilatorio que será lanzado el mes de abril y esta canción es la primera que sacan como sencillo. Friendly Fire es una canción que va de la mano con la forma de expresar las cosas que tenía Chester, nos habla de esas peleas tontas que llegamos a tener con personas cercanas a nosotros y que pueden que terminen mal cuando en realidad y sin saberlo, es simplemente un fuego amistoso. Yo soy mucho más de música que de letra aunque a esto último también le presto atención pero si una canción melódicamente me gusta es muy seguro que la escuche sin problemas. Me pasa con esta al igual que con la anterior, este tema tiene ese algo que hace que la quiera oir siempre. Siempre lo diré, Chester se fue muy pronto, de las mejores voces del género, sin ninguna duda.

Chester Bennington was the soul and leader of that group, a guy with a really privileged voice and it is so much so that when these songs come out that were long shelved, hence the "new", the feeling of nostalgia and excitement is very real. What Linkin Park is doing by the hand of Mike Shinoda is reviving songs they wrote once but never came to light, this time I understand that it will be a compilation album to be released in April and this song is the first to be released as a single. Friendly Fire is a song that goes hand in hand with Chester's way of expressing things, it talks about those silly fights we get to have with people close to us and that may end badly when in reality and without knowing it, it is just a friendly fire. I'm much more into music than lyrics, although I pay attention to the latter, but if I like a song melodically, I'm sure I'll listen to it without any problems. It happens to me with this one as with the previous one, this song has that something that makes me always want to hear it. I will always say it, Chester left very soon, one of the best voices of the genre, without any doubt.

- Green Day - Bobby Sox

Green Day fue una banda que por allá en los noventas, principios de los 2000, fueron de las que más revolucionaron todo, llegaron a ser extremadamente populares y queridos. Hablo como que si eso ya no fuera así pero a veces cuesta dimensionar sobre quien estamos escribiendo. Que estos tipos, casi 30 años después, vengan de nuevo y saquen un disco con este tipo de canciones en donde lo que está predominando es el pop mainstream del más duro es algo que sin dudas es de aplaudir. Por allí leí también que el rock puede que reviva de unos años para acá porque lo que no es mentira es que cada vez se está escuchando menos Hip Hop y Trap por lo que ese cambio de tendencia es muy probable que suceda. Bobby Sox es la canción más Green Day que puedes escuchar, es un tema que habla básicamente se pregunta si quieres ser mi novia, novio o mejor amigos mientras hacemos las típicas cosas que se hacen en esas relaciones. Y es que hasta el video, el típico en el garaje de una casa con unos amigos tomando alcohol, es de las cosas más del género, más de la época y más de ellos que se podía hacer. Me alegra que Green Day siga activo en pleno 2024 y más que los fanáticos y nuevas generaciones sigan escuchándolos como siempre.

Green Day was a band that back in the nineties, early 2000's, they were one of the bands that revolutionized everything, they became extremely popular and loved. I talk as if that were no longer the case but sometimes it's hard to dimension who we are writing about. That these guys, almost 30 years later, come back and release an album with this kind of songs where what is predominating is the hardest mainstream pop is something that is undoubtedly to be applauded. I also read that rock may revive in a few years because what is not a lie is that people are listening less and less to Hip Hop and Trap, so this change of trend is very likely to happen. Bobby Sox is the most Green Day song you can listen to, it's a song that basically asks if you want to be my girlfriend, boyfriend or best friend while we do the typical things that are done in those relationships. And even the video, the typical one in the garage of a house with some friends drinking alcohol, is one of the most of the genre, more of the time and more of them that could be done. I'm glad that Green Day is still active in the middle of 2024 and even more glad that the fans and new generations are still listening to them as always.
