(ESP-ENG) Coldplay y su nuevo disco "Moon Music" 🌙🎧

Por acá no soy la persona más fanática de Coldplay, me gusta de una manera muy promedio pero no me desvivo por ellos y eso tiene una razón de ser: el estilo de su música. Si buscara ponerle un adjetivo creo que sería **"trascendental"** y es que ellos con sus letras buscan crear una conexión muy personal y única con aquellos que los escuchan. A pesar de esto entiendo perfectamente su posición en el panorama musical actual y el por qué son tan queridos y seguidos. Lo que si quiero confesar es que es de los pocos conciertos a los que me gustaría ir básicamente por la experiencia tan brutal que supone ir y presenciar todo aquello a nivel de espectáculo. Pero bueno, Moon Music. Un disco que llega 3 años después de "Music of the Spheres" y que supone un cambio bastante notable respecto a lo que venían haciendo.

I'm not the biggest Coldplay fan around here, I like them in a very average way but I don't go crazy for them and that has a reason to be: the style of their music. If I were looking for an adjective I think it would be "transcendental ” because they seek to create a very personal and unique connection with those who listen to them with their lyrics. Despite this I understand perfectly their position in the current music scene and why they are so loved and followed. What I do want to confess is that it is one of the few concerts I would like to go to basically because of the brutal experience of going and witnessing all that on a show level. But well, Moon Music. An album that arrives 3 years after “Music of the Spheres” and that supposes a quite remarkable change with respect to what they were doing.

- WE PRAY

Cuando hablo de cambio me refiero a que se estilo demasiado pop que estábamos viendo siento que en este disco ya no está tanto y un ejemplo de eso es este tema, uno en donde vemos a Chris rapear. Puede que genere cierto choque pero sin dudas es algo de lo que no estamos acostumbrados a escuchar. Yo pensaría que toda la construcción de este álbum es mucho más experimental porque los sonidos son muy diferentes y es que al final creo que este es de los menos comerciales de sus últimos trabajos. We Pray es una colaboración en donde se buscó tener representación multicultural (mundo árabe, africano, latino, etc) por el mensaje que se busca dar que no es otro que sin importar la ubicación del planeta en la que se esté si todos se unen bajo la oración será muy posible afrontar todos los problemas y adversidades. El sonido es pegajoso, a pesar de la letra que no es muy lo mio es algo que se puede escuchar perfectamente, es algo sumamente alternativo, muy Coldplay que a pesar de las diferencias su esencia no la pierden. Otra cosa y no menos importante es que este tema tiene por lo menos 3 versiones según el artista, algo muy interesante de oír.

When I talk about change I mean that the pop style that we were seeing is not so much in this album and an example of that is this track, one where we see Chris rapping. It may come as a bit of a shock but it's definitely something we're not used to hearing. I would think that the whole construction of this album is much more experimental because the sounds are very different and in the end I think this is one of the least commercial of his recent works. We Pray is a collaboration where they tried to have multicultural representation (Arab, African, Latin, etc.) because of the message they want to give, which is that no matter where you are on the planet if everyone unites under prayer it will be possible to face all the problems and adversities. The sound is catchy, despite the lyrics that are not my thing, it is something that can be listened to perfectly, it is something very alternative, very Coldplay that despite the differences, they do not lose their essence. Another thing and not less important is that this song has at least 3 versions according to the artist, something very interesting to hear.

- GOOD FEELiNGS

De las canciones que verdaderamente son la firma y el sello de Coldplay es esta, un tema muy alegre y disfrutable. También es una colaboración con Ayra Starr, una cantante proveniente de Nigeria que la verdad suena bastante bien. El sonido es muy cool porque lo siento muy funky, al oído suena super bien y como ya dije es una canción que te puede cambiar el estado de ánimo rápidamente. Hay algo que para mi que es un tanto relevante en este disco y es que Coldplay en el pasado "abusaba" mucho de los interludios, eran muy pesados y eternos; acá eso no se escucha cosa personalmente agradezco porque le da más dinamismo a las canciones. Qué decir de la letra, es una que nos habla de un amor de verano y que en él se crearon buenos recuerdos y sentimientos y que sería bueno que no se olvidaran porque ya forman parte de cada uno. Siento que es de las mejores canciones del disco, a pesar de que es de las que más se parecen a lo ya conocido de ellos tanto por sonido como por mensaje es de lo más cool que tiene el album.

There is something that for me is somewhat relevant in this album and that is that Coldplay in the past “abused” much of the interludes, they were very heavy and eternal; here that is not heard something I personally appreciate because it gives more dynamism to the songs. What to say about the lyrics, it is one that tells us about a summer love and that in it good memories and feelings were created and that it would be good not to forget them because they are already part of each one of us. I feel that it is one of the best songs on the album, even though it is one of the songs that is most similar to what is already known about them, both in sound and message, it is one of the coolest songs on the album.

Si no es la anterior es esta en relación a cuál sería la mejor del disco. Este soft rock muy característico también de Coldplay es uno que habla. de nuevo, del amor. De hecho todo el disco va de eso, de letras relacionadas con el amor, la justicia, la compasión, el ayudar al otro; si lo queremos ver de una forma podría ser hasta medio reivindicativo con esos temas. Esta canción es la típica que tiene esos coros que escuchas una vez y que muy probablemente se te quede en la cabeza todo el día, unas estrofas llenas de cierto "mood". Creo que este nuevo Coldplay, porque definitivamente es muy distinto, es mucho más alegre y tiene una chispa particular que hace que es probable que este disco se disfrute y se escuche de otras maneras. Ellos siempre van evolucionando, a su manera pero lo hacen, ya sea con sonidos distintos o con estilos y géneros poco explorados. Este disco es un ejemplo claro de eso. Vale la pena? - creo que si, por lo menos escucharlo una vez para sentir la vibra nueva que traen.

Is it worth it? - I think so, at least listen to it once to feel the new vibe they bring.
