Wonderful Life At The Peak Galleria

6th January 2023

Happy New Year #MarketFriday Community and to its founder @dswigle. How were your Christmas and New Year celebrations? Let's all hope for a positive 2023 and more blessings to come.

Let's thank God it's Friday. Everyone of course, like the end of the week, because it's #MarketFriday.

I visited the Victoria Peak last Christmas and I can say that there were a lot of developments in the area since my last visit in 2017. I can't even remember the attractions I've seen before, except for the two iconic buildings at the peak: the Peak Tower and the Peak Galleria.

After walking along the Morning Trail in the afternoon, I decided to visit the Peak Galleria as I had never been to that place because we only visited the hill parts when we first went to the peak.

This is the shopping and leisure complex at Victoria Peak. An array of shops and even restaurants and cafes can be found here.

There's an arcade in the place too where kids can play with their parents.

IMG_20221225_172305.jpg

The process of making sushi in this shop is visible to the public. That probably is their strategy to show people the cleanliness of the place and the food they are making.

Meanwhile, on the other side is this shop selling Chinese Traditional food. Chinese people consider these as snacks, but they seem like a viand to me that can be partnered with rice. I tried some before and they taste like pork tocino.

Among all shops in the galleria, the Wonderful Life caught my interest.

IMG_20221225_173609.jpg

IMG_20221225_172923.jpg

There are a plethora of mini music boxes, and they are all so cute, especially when different music was played by different music boxes turning around inside the glass box.

IMG_20221225_172937.jpg

They are all made from wood with different concepts and perfect gifts for different occasions.

IMG_20221225_172759.jpg

IMG_20221225_172815.jpg

My favorite part was the shelf of different music boxes inspired by Disney characters. Mickey Mouse, Disney Princesses, and other characters are present. They are too adorable.

IMG_20221225_173516.jpg

These are definitely perfect as gift items. Not just music boxes but pretty room displays too. Kids would certainly love them.

IMG_20221225_173524.jpg

IMG_20221225_173235.jpg

Donald and Olaf beaching. Aren't they cute?

IMG_20221225_173158.jpg

IMG_20221225_173224.jpg

Of course, Santa is present too.

IMG_20221225_173217.jpg

There are wooden items such as wood stationery, name card holder, photo frames, and others inspired by Hong Kong's iconic attractions like the peak tram, temples, and Big Buddha.

IMG_20221225_173116.jpg

IMG_20221225_173106.jpg

There are wooden calendars and clocks perfect for room displays.

IMG_20221225_173552.jpg

IMG_20221225_172903.jpg

IMG_20221225_173534.jpg

I wanted to buy one but they are quite pricey for me 😅.

Who's playing spinning tops? I bet, kids love this too. This reminded me of the good old days when I was still a kid. I am one of those who were a fan of spinning tops.

IMG_20221225_173054.jpg

I wasn't sure of these Mini 98 items, but they look like old-style radios. A radio music box, sounds interesting.

IMG_20221225_172852.jpg

Mickey and Minnie mouse toy cars are perfect for your little son.

IMG_20221225_172913.jpg

The items below are Ocean Park HK-inspired.

IMG_20221225_173015.jpg

The fun part is the DIY for those who want to make their own music box design.

IMG_20221225_172946.jpg

Meanwhile, these mini music villages were the most expensive ones.

IMG_20221225_173150.jpg

And there are a lot more cute items at Wonderful Life. You'll definitely feel wonderful once you listen to the calming music from different music boxes in this shop.

Which music box is your favorite? I like the Disney Princess's music boxes 😊.

That concludes my Market Friday today. Happy end of the weekdays, everyone, and enjoy your weekend.

Hahaha...yes, I love Olaf. We have three grandkids, so we are kept up to date with all the Disney characters. We had the privilege of taking the grandkids to see "Frozen on Ice", which is a live show where ice skaters perform the story of Frozen on ice.

Happy New Year to you too, @jane1289👍!

The music boxes and other memorabilia are cute! I've been dreaming of having one since I was a kid pero tsaka nalang pag may sariling kwarto na hahaha

It is a beautiful place to walk around, so much beauty.
I liked the big green tree inside the hall, too bad it is made of props.
I really don't like the music boxes but they are all very nice.

What? Don't you like listening to music? 😅

Yes, I like to listen to music and sing but my passion is gardening. Apart from my profession.
The music boxes have a short time to be listened to and then it's over.
I like music for hours especially instrumental music. It's not that I dislike music boxes but I wouldn't buy them.

What a wonderful place! The mall is over the top, isn't it? Clean and hopping, people all over the place. That is the way I like to see a mall, with a little energy going on. It makes me feel like the world isn't still shuttered, as is evidenced when I see so many of the malls people post! While it isn't crowded, it has people in it! :) My sushi shop here is open also. I agree, it is to show off how clean they are. I think it is a great way to go, but for me, it is more of an interest in how they do certain things. I love watching them make my rolls. :)

The Peak Galleria is a pretty nice place altogether. Of course, you have so many great places in Hong Kong! A shopping mecca for anyone, no matter what your wants or needs are! Am I right? Have you found your favorite place yet?

A Wonderful Life is so cute! I can imagine buying those little Micky Mouse figures for my kids when they were young. In fact, I did have something like that, their great-grandfather have given little figures from their childhood. They were so cool and they played with them for years and years. Great toys like these last two or three lifetimes. :)

I loved the calendars and the wooden clocks too! Seems like wooden clocks are always expensive, but, who doesn't love them?? All the wooden figures and tops. toys- they are things that will last forever. I cannot thank you enough for bringing us and sharing this with us! And those mini radios!!! You always bring us the best! Thank you!

#MarketFriday loves you! I try to let people know how much I appreciate their participation in #MarketFriday! Even though I get many on a weekly basis, each one is read and enjoyed. By now, you must know how much I enjoy learning about the world and how it is to live in your corner of it, and, make yours or mine better in any way. I have been given hints to make life nicer, and recipes to make dinner interesting. I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different I enjoy learning more about you and hope you feel the same, that is why I find it important to take the time to read a couple of #MarketFriday posts and leave a genuine comment. It is important for a community to do this, learning about others, and getting to know each other. The fun is in getting to know people and making a positive contribution to community life. All this fun and money too. What is not to love? That is one of the reasons I joined Hive. How about you? :) I leave you with the guidelines. I hope you are having an amazing week!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Wow! People are so Damn creative, how did they make all of these beauties with just wood? They look amazing and incredible! I can imagine how expensive they are just by looking at the quality and I think they will be worth it but that's if there is no pressing need 😄.

Thank you so much for taking us shopping at Victoria peak, I loved it there 🤓.

The Victoria peak looks very familiar, it would interest you to know that I feel like I am walkinging through there from just looking at the images.

You definitely had a great time touring through the various places there and that snack looks tasty, the color is tempting.
