Three Tune Tuesday: Piano and Guitar

(Edited)

While exploring my odd collection of music, I've run across some MP3 files I think I downloaded from a now-defunct indie music site. Time to join the #threetunetuesday challenge hosted by @ablaze!

Can't find an ending, can't find me
Can't find resolve in the thoughts I dream

Online info is a bit scarce. There's no Wikipedia page, and they don't seem to have an official website. According to last.fm, "Maggie's Choice is a self-produced band started in the late 90's with Abe Cohen (guitar, vocals) and Mateo Bevington (guitar, vocals) in Portland Oregon. Sean Bevington (drummer) soon joined them and a demo was released in 1999."

Smile, ghosts are shaking hands
The devil's making plans
To take you down
To take you

This band has both a Wikipedia page and a website. They were founded in Nashville in 2010, and apparently have scattered across the country, but also have a new album.

I might be cheating since this band uses an electric keyboard, not a real piano. If I pull this stunt again, I'll give myself a stern talking-to.

OK, that sounds more like an acoustic piano at least. I'll let myself off with a warning. Again, there is a Wikipedia page and at least a Bandcamp website.

As much as I pluck it out
Antennae remain
And when it's real quiet I make out
A signal that's faint

These lyrics are probably the most obscure yet.

It doesn't come natural
Exercise control
I put the lamb's blood on my door

The "lamb's blood on my door" seems like an allusion to Exodus and the Passover, but how does it fit the context of the song?

Our most precious ambitions fail
Love it is conditional

If you can figure it out, please share in the comments.

Electric keyboard or not, they play a mean tune. Love the bluegrass on the guitar, great for a ride in the country. So how does this #threetunetuesday work. @ablaze
