Music at the Vespucci University
I remember those couple of years ago as if it were yesterday. My daughter, an adorable baby, filled my days with joy and tenderness, and I, trying to balance work and motherhood, was in a truly special moment. I was working as a teacher and coordinator at a school where, fortunately, I had the support and camaraderie of amazing colleagues. That combination of love for teaching and for my little girl gave me the chance to create indelible memories.
Every morning, when I arrived at school with my daughter in my arms, I felt a whirlwind of emotions. The laughter of the children, the bustle of the classrooms, everything became a scene that not only fueled my passion for education, but also the desire to give my daughter the best possible experience. Remembering those moments makes me smile, because at every moment, life gave me the opportunity to share that space with her. The laughter of her classmates, the curiosity in her eyes, and the excitement of discovering new things together: all made my heart swell with pride.
I tried to incorporate my little girl into my daily activities, thinking about how I could stimulate her development while I fulfilled my work responsibilities. I was fascinated to introduce her to picture books, to paint with her in the little spaces I could find between classes and, above all, to enjoy those simple but profound moments. I remember one particular day when we organized a cultural activity at school. With the support of my colleagues, we managed to create a magical atmosphere, full of art and music. There I was, teaching the children to appreciate the beauty of expressing themselves through art, and at the same time, watching my daughter enraptured by all that energy.
Thinking of the future, I wish that my daughter will always remember those moments when I tried to provide her with the best encouragement. May she grow up with the awareness that, beyond academic achievements, what is important is the love and passion with which we do things. Sometimes, I stop to reflect on how fortunate I am to have worked in such an enriching environment, where culture, learning and collaboration were fundamental pillars.
Life is full of experiences that mark, and the time when I was a teacher and coordinator at school with my daughter is undoubtedly one of those golden chapters. I am grateful, I even thank Amerigo Vespucci, not only for his historical contributions, but perhaps for reminding me of the importance of exploration and discovery, both in the world and in raising my daughter.
As I look back, I feel deep gratitude for those days, and as my daughter grows older, I hope that our memories together will become a legacy that she will treasure and pass on. Because, in the end, every smile, every hug and every little shared accomplishment becomes a part of our unbreakable bond. And that, undoubtedly, is what I value most.
