We've all heard some truly awful music on the radio, created by real artists...
But have you ever heard a song that moves you, that you like, created by AI? I have.

So, I have a question for you...

What's more important to you?
That you like the music? With sophisticated, well-crafted lyrics?
Or that it's made entirely by artists, even if the lyrics are childish or the patterns are mixed hastily in the back of a Bentley (those in the know will recognise who I'm thinking of), or even if the singer is more out of tune than a rusty rattle?

My actual question:
When music is played for free, and you don't need to buy it beforehand to listen to it, do you demand that the platforms inform you, in large print, that the track may contain parts created by AI?

Isn't it enough to buy and/or listen to the song again simply because you enjoy the music?

No mention is necessary, and everything is fine.

However, here at Deezer, they note it on each of my songs.

I don't deny that I work with artificial intelligence, but I put a lot of effort into my creations, especially in terms of lyrics, and I take care to choose my instruments and style according to the song and its message. I don't deny that I use Suno, in its professional version and therefore with all the associated rights.
In fact, when you listen to other recent music, I personally find that you can hear the difference between my work and AI music generated from a quick prompt.

So, I don't know why Deezer adds this label, which I find discriminatory (especially since distributors already do selective sorting), because a lot of people are criticising AI at the moment without even bothering to listen to or analyse the results.
Some don't even bother to evaluate the product; they see AI and decide that it's automatically unhealthy, bad, inhuman, in short, worthless.

I'll leave it up to everyone to take the time to listen to my tracks, which are ALL, without exception, computer-aided design (CAD) and even AI-aided (CAIA). Remember, 30 years ago, people already reacted badly to CAD and CAO.

AI is not the enemy, it is a tool. Criticise the finished product, not the basic concept, or you may miss out on some nice things.

Note: It takes me several hours to design a piece that I consider good enough to publish. Then I play them to friends who tell me what they think, and only then do I send them to TunCore (my distributor), which also conducts a quality audit. Trust these three levels of verification and test it for yourself.

On a tous déjà entendu un daube monumentale à la radio, réalisée par de vrais artistes...
Mais avez-vus déjà entendu un morceau qui vous touche, qui vous plaît, réalisé par l'IA ? Moi oui.

Du coup, j'ai une question pour vous...

Qu'est-ce qui est le plus important à vos yeux ?
Qu'une musique vous plaise ? Avec un texte recherché et travaillé ?
Ou bien que ce soit entièrement fait par des artistes, même si le texte est infantile ou que les accords soient mixés à la va vite à l'arrière d'une Bentley (les vrais auront reconnu celui à qui je pense), ou encore que l'interprète chante plus faux qu'un crécelle rouillée???

Ma question proprement dite:
Lorsqu'une musique est jouée gratuitement, que vous n'avez pas besoin de l'acheter préalablement pour l'écouter, exigez-vous que la plateforme vous informe, en grand, que le morceau contient, sans certitude, des parties réalisées par l'IA?

L'acte d'achat, et/ou la ré-écoute du morceau ne venant que du fait que vous kiffez la musique n'est-ce pas suffisant?

Aucune mention nécessaire, et tout se passe bien.

Par contre ici, chez Deezer, ils le notent sur chacun de mes chansons.

Je ne nie pas que je travaille avec l'intelligence artificielle, mais je met beaucoup d'efforts dans mes créations, spécialement au niveau du texte, et je veille à choisir mes instruments et mon style selon la chanson et son message. Je ne nie pas que j'utilise suno, en version professionnelle et donc avec tous les droits afférents.
D'ailleurs quand on écoute d'autres musiques récentes, je trouve personnellement qu'on entend la différence, entre mes travaux et des musiques IA issues d'un prompt à l'arrache.

Du coup, je ne sais pas pourquoi Deezer ajoute cette mention, que je trouve discriminatoire (surtout que les distributeurs font déjà un tri sélectif à la base), car beaucoup de gens crachent sur l'IA en ce moment, sans même avoir prit la peine d'écouter ou d'analyser le résultat obtenu.
Certains ne prennent même pas la peine de jauger le produit, ils voient IA et décident que c'est d'office malsain, mauvais, pas humain, bref que cela ne vaut rien.

Je laisserai à chacun le soin de prendre le temps d'écouter mes titres, ils sont TOUS et sans exceptions de conception assistée par ordinateur (CAO) et même assisté par AI (CAIA), rappelez-vous il y a 30 ans, ils réagissaient déjà mal face à la DAO ou à la CAO.

L'IA n'est pas l'ennemi, c'est un outil. critiquez le produit fini, pas le concept de base, vous risqueriez de manquer des choses sympathique.

Note: Je mets plusieurs heures pour concevoir un morceau que je considère comme suffisamment bon pour le publier. Ensuite je les fais écouter à des amis qui me disent ce qu'ils en pensent, et seulement ensuite je l'envoie à TunCore (Mon distributeur) qui là aussi fait passer un audit de qualité. Faites confiance à ces 3 niveaux de vérifications et testez par vous même.
