Hola amigos de Hive, en esta oportunidad quiero contarles mi experiencia en la ciudad Colombiana de Cucuta, el pasado 16 de diciembre para tocar en un evento musical, con mi banda de death metal Living Decomposition, para la que cabe resaltar, nuestros vocalista también toca en otra banda llamada Decaying Prohpecy, la cual también se presentó en este evento y aproveché para tomar videos tanto del ensayo como de su presentación, Por lo que esta publicación es principalmente para exponer a esta banda y hablares un poco de lo que fue su presentación.

Hello friends of Hive, in this opportunity I want to tell you about my experience in the Colombian city of Cucuta, last December 16 to play in a musical event, with my death metal band Living Decomposition, for which it should be noted, our vocalist also plays in another band called Decaying Prohpecy, which also performed at this event and I took the opportunity to take videos of both the rehearsal and his presentation, so this publication is mainly to expose this band and talk a little of what was his presentation.

Decaying Prophecy es una banda colombiana de Blackened Death Metal, su primer trabajo discográfico homónimo fue lanzado en 2019 y actualmente cuenta con un full- lenght álbum Lanzado en 2023, sus integrantes son José Gil Vergel, en la guitarra y la voz, Javier ( no recuerdo su apellido en la batería, y Cristian Fernandez en el bajo.

Decaying Prophecy is a Colombian Blackened Death Metal band, their first homonymous album was released in 2019 and currently has a full lenght album Released in 2023, its members are Jose Gil Vergel, on guitar and vocals, Javier ( I don't remember his last name on drums, and Cristian Fernandez on bass.

Son una banda con un sonido bastante único, el cual en ocasiones resulta difícil comparar con otras bandas icónicas, pero lo que está claro es que tienen un sonido bastante crudo, y con mucha atmosfera, sobre todo atmosferas densas, y tonadas en donde destaca los arpegios, muchas veces disonantes. La voz gutural es bastante agresiva y profunda, con cantos más bien de ritmo lento, que contribuyen con la atmosfera instrumental. En la batería abundan los blast beats, algo que le da un toque especial entre agresividad y densidad.

They are a band with a quite unique sound, which is sometimes difficult to compare with other iconic bands, but what is clear is that they have a quite raw sound, and with a lot of atmosphere, especially dense atmospheres, and tunes where the arpeggios stand out, many times dissonant. The guttural voice is quite aggressive and deep, with rather slow-paced chants, which contribute to the instrumental atmosphere. The drums are full of blast beats, something that gives a special touch between aggressiveness and density.

Y bien acerca de mi experiencia, fuimos invitados a este evento, realizado en la ciudad fronteriza de Cucuta, por lo que tuvimos que abordar un vehículo desde San Cristóbal, Venezuela, y cruzar la frontera para llegar a esta ciudad que nos acogió de muy buena manera, Nos recibió nuestro compañero de banda José Vergel, quien fue nuestro anfitrión.

Well about my experience, we were invited to this event, held in the border city of Cucuta, so we had to board a vehicle from San Cristobal, Venezuela, and cross the border to get to this city that welcomed us in a very good way, We were received by our band mate Jose Vergel, who was our host.

Llegamos a la ciudad de Cucuta aproximadamente a las 11 de la mañana, y nos dirigimos a la casa de nuestro amigo, allí ubicamos nuestras pertenencias, conversamos con él, esperamos a la hora del almuerzo , esperamos al baterista de Decaying Prophecy quien llegaba desde la ciudad de Medellin, para luego dirigirnos a una sala de ensayo, allí ensayamos ambas bandas, Living Decompositión y Decaying Prophecy, al final de este video que comparto con ustedes hay un tema grabado en el ensayo, el cual pueden escuchar.

We arrived in the city of Cucuta at approximately 11 in the morning, and we went to our friend's house, there we placed our belongings, we talked with him, we waited for lunch time, we waited for the drummer of Decaying Prophecy who arrived from the city of Medellin, and then we went to a rehearsal room, there we rehearsed both bands, Living Decompositión and Decaying Prophecy, at the end of this video that I share with you there is a song recorded in the rehearsal, which you can listen to.

Luego del ensayo volvimos a la casa de nuestro amigo, para prepararnos y dirigirnos al evento, al cual partimos a eso de las 7:30 de la noche, Nos dirigimos al Malecom, en donde se estaba llevando a cabo el evento, calculo que habrían unas 300 personas, o puede que un poco menos, pues el lugar era al aire libre y bastante espacioso por lo que no se veía tanta aglomeración.

After the rehearsal we returned to our friend's house, to get ready and head to the event, to which we left at about 7:30 at night. We headed to the Malecom, where the event was taking place, I estimate that there would be about 300 people, or maybe a little less, because the place was outdoors and quite spacious so it was not so crowded.

Esperamos nuestro turno tocamos con Living Decomposition a eso de las 9 Pm, nos dieron un refrigerio, el cual era pizza con pollo, y esperamos a la presentación de Decaying Prophecy, me posicioné en primera fila para grabar un tema completa , y luego me fue a la parte posterior para hacer unas tomas de apoyo del baterista que pudiese usar luego, allí conseguí buenas tomas de llamaradas siendo expulsadas enj la parte frontal. Tenia la plena intención de construir este video que les estoy presentado, quise agregarle el audio del disco, pero para que dañar la esencia del en vivo, a pesar de que la grabación no tiene el mejor audio, decidí dejarlo tal cual se registró.

We waited our turn to play with Living Decomposition at about 9 Pm, they gave us a snack, which was pizza with chicken, and we waited for Decaying Prophecy, I positioned myself in the front row to record a complete song, and then I went to the back to do some support shots of the drummer that I could use later, there I got some good shots of flares being ejected out the front. I had the full intention of constructing this video that I am presenting to you, I wanted to add the audio from the album, but so as not to damage the essence of the live performance, even though the recording doesn't have the best audio, I decided to leave it as it was recorded.

Y bueno amigos esto es lo que quería comapartir con ustedes, espero pronto compartir algo sobre la presentación de mi banda Living Decomposition, pero aun no he recopilado todo los videos que me han enviado.

And well friends this is what I wanted to share with you, I hope soon to share something about the presentation of my band Living Decomposition, but I have not yet compiled all the videos that have been sent to me.
