Hola amigos de Hive, en esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles dos discos originales de Rammstein, una banda que marcó mi adolescencia, no solo a nivel musical, sino que me impulsó a aprender el idioma alemán, en aquel momento, con el sueño de viajar a Europa conocer este país. Estudié alemán, de forma autodidacta ayudado mucho por las letras de Rammstein y también realicé cursos en los que llegué hasta el 3er nivel.

Hello friends of Hive, in this opportunity I want to show you two original albums of Rammstein, a band that marked my adolescence, not only at a musical level, but that pushed me to learn the German language, at that time, with the dream of traveling to Europe to know this country. I studied German, in a self-taught way, helped a lot by the lyrics of Rammstein and I also took courses in which I reached the 3rd level.

Pero bien vine es para mostrarles estos dos discos, uno es Reise Reise y el otro Rosenrot lanzados en 2004 y 2005, discos que considero marcaron un antes y un después tanto en su sonido como su nivel de producción. Y es que mi apreciación musical como guitarrista está muy ligada a la ejecución instrumental. Y es que Reise Reise se diferenció mucho de su predecesor Mutter, sobre todo por su afinación de instrumentos de cuerda mucho más graves, por lo que Reise Reise sin duda tenía un sonido mucho más profundo.

But I came to show you these two albums, one is Reise Reise and the other Rosenrot released in 2004 and 2005, albums that I consider marked a before and after both in their sound and their level of production. And the fact is that my musical appreciation as a guitarist is closely linked to the instrumental performance. Reise Reise was very different from its predecessor Mutter, mainly because of its tuning of much lower stringed instruments, so Reise Reise certainly had a much deeper sound.

Líricamente Reise Reise fue mucho más maduro que Mutter su predecesor, pero sin perder esa esencia que creo que hoy día sigue caracterizando a la banda, y me refiero a lo irreverente, a lo explícito a nivel sexual y sobre acciones clasificadas como inmorales de la sociedad, canciones como Mein Teil, que habla del canibalismo, Stein um Stein sobre emparedar a una persona viva, algo así como en el relato del Gato de Edgar Allan Poe, y también canciones de crítica como Amerika.

Lyrically Reise Reise was much more mature than its predecessor Mutter, but without losing that essence that I think still characterizes the band today, and I mean irreverent, explicitly sexual and about actions classified as immoral in society, songs like Mein Teil, which talks about cannibalism, Stein um Stein about walling up a living person, something like in the story of Edgar Allan Poe's Cat, and also critical songs like Amerika.

Por su parte Resenrot es muy parecido instrumentalmente y es que salió con tan solo un año de diferencia. Líricamente es un poco más filosófico, psicológico, y metafórico, incluso hasta melancólico, tenemos canciones como Spring, que habla de un hombre que se detiene en un puente a contemplar el paisaje, y las personas creen que se va a suicidar y la presión de la multitud hace que finalmente salte del puente. Stirbt Nicht vor Mir, que habla sobre el destino y la espera para encontrar el amor, y de esto pasamos a temas como Te Quiero Puta.

Resenrot, on the other hand, is very similar instrumentally, and it was released only a year apart. Lyrically it is a bit more philosophical, psychological, and metaphorical, even melancholic, we have songs like Spring, which talks about a man who stops on a bridge to contemplate the landscape, and people think he is going to commit suicide and the pressure of the crowd makes him finally jump off the bridge. Stirbt Nicht vor Mir, which talks about destiny and waiting to find love, and from this we move on to songs like Te Quiero Puta.
